If Mewtwo is in it, should be his new form from Pokemon X and Y. If Mewtwo is in it though...I doubt Mew would be. Waluigi is unlikely...he wasn't even in Mario Kart 7, which is a Mario game.

Mew would be only in as a rare pokeball pokemon like celebi or jirachi.

also mewtwo should definively get in.

Out of that list, they all seem reasonable, apart from Tharja.
I know she is a popular character and is really cool, but she wasn't major in awakening at all.
TBH, I would expect Chrom for a third rep.
Or, if they wanted to add a female rep, go for a major one like Eirika, Lyn or even Lucina.
Pacman is kina eh, but oh well, I guess he is a big part of the gaming universe and timeline.

So according to this. This is what we'll know:

The official title is Super Smash Bros. Calamity (I think it's kinda a weird name and certainly the longest surname after 64, Melee, and Brawl but I can roll for it.). Though I suppose if people dislike this game they'll have an easy way to make fun of it given the definition of Calamity...

That's over 20 already confirmed characters if this is true (But considering the roster expectations this is likely only about half the roster). But anyway, I find it at least somewhat believable because of what they're saying about the trailer being an homage to Melee's Opening, I think the Newcomers are quite believable as well (Including Pac-Man since Namco is working on the game after all), and I actually never realized that Mewtwo having relevence in X/Y could pave his way to returning again to Smash Brothers.

I wouldn't mind Waluigi because he could represent the Mario spin-offs in the roster. Mario Party, Mario Kart, All the different Sports series, etc.

Plus Waluigi is such a wacky character it'd be fun to see how he fights.

If he's in though, one of his taunts just has to be the Crotch chop from the Strikers games

I was upset they didn't show more of the game.

But Mega Man looks like a really cool addition.

The Villager from Animal Crossing seems to actually work, when they showed a bit of his moveset, so that's an ok addition I guess. Still no Ghirahim though!

Gotta say that Megaman's animations in the trailer alone looked top notch, just like in the NES games. \

That jumping animation looks perfect.

ANALYSISING

at 0:50, if you pause, you can clearly tell that's a spirit tracks stage

0:57-0:58 looks like it's from a story mode stage

1:14, it's skyloft in the background

and from 1:17 and onwards, it looks like it'll function similarly to how delfino plaza did in brawl

at 1:37, it looks like tripping is back, but it's probably just an attack

1:38, balloon fighter powerup thing

1:40, villager can just grab and put charged shots into his backpack

what a badass

judging from 2:12, you might be able to turn on and off megaman's helmet, like samus/zero suit samus in brawl

2:26, wily castle stage

2:34, rush

2:35, charged shots (obviously)

2:40, yay for classic effects and sound effects

2:44 and onwards, apparently he can use various robot master powerups, similar to the way super smash flash 2 is doing that stuff

3:28, yellow devil. boss battle in story mode?

Awesome, Mega Man is in. He was one of my top two picks so I think he'll make a good addition. Didn't expect the Villager. I have no problems with him though, Animal Crossing is deserving of a rep anyway so I think it's cool.

Pretty much confirmed they are. In the Villager's image on the official website there's a Smash Ball and Samus used a Final Smash or something like it, soo...

Those trailers were so many shades of awesome I don't even...

So yeah, Mega Man. I think it's both cool and a little disappointed that he moves and acts like his 8-bit self, but whatever. It's weird, I had in mind that he'd get his opponents powers via a special move (specifically, his left/right special move), but I guess it's also cool that he just uses the Robot Masters special moves... though I wonder, just how many movies does he have?

Also, I'm looking forward to all the Mega Man music and trophies these games will have!

As for everything else, it's nice to see who's definitely returning. Hell, this had more returning veterans then the Super Smash Bros. Brawl reveal. And lookie there, Pit's back. I think he might just be a Nintendo mainstay from now on.

And yeah, the Animal Crossing villager. I'm okay with this. He looks fun to play as.
