Fortunately, there's lots of synonyms... melee, brawl, rumble, skirmish, scrimmage, fracas, vendetta, fray, feud, shindy, quarrel, spar, tussle, scuffle, rencounter, squabble, battle, duel, monomachy, combat, war, tourney, gymkhana, grapple, match, turf, fisticuffs, attack, showdown, fight... Although some are taking some liberties with the meaning.
