Let me put down the clues.
1. This is a 3D Mario game BY THE SAME GUY WHO HELPED WITH THE SMG SERIES.
2. In one Nintendo Magazine, in a Q&A about Wii U, Nintendo said that's it's very likely that we will see a Super Mario Galaxy 3 on Wii U.
Yeah.
I know this is pathetic, but no replies, so....

Oh come on, what if no one had anything to say for that or they are busy replying to other posts? Besides, that post was like a month ago.

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

The galaxy games were good, but Nintendo's developers have said they're pretty much out of ideas. I think it should be a brand new idea, with an open world.

That's kind of a bad excuse to claim that Nintendo has run out of ideas, especially since Nintendo has a colorful cast of characters other than the usual suspects that make it in the mainstream Mario games. Consider Waluigi, Toadette, Daisy, and others. All who can make it in a game that can be creative.

I meant ideas for galaxy. Google super mario galaxy 3 for more info.

IMAGINE IT JUMPING ON ENEMIES ONLY THIS TIME YOU'RE A PINK TOAD

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

Yeah, that's not gonna happen if you use a different character for the exact concept since Mario would rake in more money than other characters.

Well I was being sarcastic

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

Super Mario Sunshine 2 would be awesome, although Mario Galaxy 3 would'nt be bad either.

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

I don't mind what it is really.

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

I want a game thats similar to Super Mario Bros. 2. I really liked that you had four characters to choose between and all of them had different abilities! So I hope they will do something like that.

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

^ You beat me to it. I couldn't care less whether or not Super Mario Bros. 2 was a Doki Doki Panic ROM hack, it's still one of my all-time favorites. I just hate how Nintendo continues to blatantly disregard almost everything it brought to the series, acting as if the first and third games (plus The Lost Levels, to some extent) are the only games in the series that matter.

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

If a third Super Mario Galaxy was ever considered for the Wii U, it would be a neat twist if you were able to play as four different characters. For some perspectives...

*Mario is the balanced character.

*Luigi jumps higher than Mario, but has less traction. Like Mario, Luigi can also perform Wall Jumps, Triple Jumps, and Ground Pounds. While underwater, Luigi ends up losing air faster than Mario and Yoshi.

*Yoshi can grab objects with his tongue, and use certain enemies as projectiles. He can also flutter jump, and can perform the Ground Pound, but can't perform Wall Jumps, nor can he do the Triple Jump. Yoshi runs faster than Mario, Luigi, and Rosalina.

*Rosalina is the long range specialist, being able to attack enemies from a distance. She also stays in the air longer than Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi, but is not able to use any of Mario's abilities. While underwater, Rosalina loses air at a slower pace than Mario and Yoshi. Rosalina levitates while moving around, and her health meter is twice as strong as Mario's.

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

What if you could unlock other characters to play as? Imagine playing as a Star Bunny, Penguin, Bee, etc. Each would play differently.

That would be better to play rather as Daisy or Waluigi.

I'm afraid they've been suffering from amnesia and forgot how many Mario story settings are still unused.

Re: New Super Mario 3D Title announced

Some of might not have noticed, but nintendo did pay slight homage to super mario bros 2 in super mario 3d land. When you go to do your crouch jump, hold it for two or three seconds and mario builds up his jump much like in smb2.

Just announced at Nintendo Direct @e3. It's said to be a Wii U version of Super Mario 3D Land.

Description from Nintendo UK: For the first time ever, Nintendo has created a four-player Mario game set in a 3D world. The game, developed by the same team that created SUPER MARIO 3D LAND for Nintendo 3DS and the Super Mario Galaxy games for Wii, lets up to four players play as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad. Each character has his or her own unique characteristics, and people can play cooperatively or competitively. The new cat transformation turns characters into adorable felines that can scratch enemies and even scamper up the flagpole at the end of levels. Transparent warp pipes add some new puzzle elements to gameplay. The game is scheduled to launch in December 2013.

If this is like 3D land, I don't think I'll look into it. I still wanted a more unique game, and I don't want this to become another New Super Mario Bros rehash.

I'm still just trying to accept the fact that Mario and gang are furries wearing cat outfits.

It's just...I can't take it seriously when you see all four of them running like cats. Who in Nintendo wanted this again?

It also doesn't help that they have a cat meowing at the end.

I do like how they are bringing back Goomba's Shoes.

I'm pretty sure Sticker Star brought Kuribo's Shoe back before this game did.

In any case, though, I think this game's looking pretty neat. I was hoping to see another game like Super Mario Bros. 2 for a change, and it looks like this is the closest we're ever going to get to that. I'm glad to see that a main Mario platformer is finally doing something different, besides the same boring, repetitive plot that involves Peach/Toadstool getting kidnapped again for the umpteenth time. Speaking of which, something tells me that Bowser might not be the main villain this time around. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Wart (as slim as the chances of him appearing may be).
