Just thought I'd drop by to mention my interest for this game has skyrocketed once the Koopalings were confirmed to be playable. Seriously, I've been waiting for this moment for a long time: the Koopalings playable in a Mario spin-off!

Cool, Koopalings are playable. I approve. I usually just stick to a single character anyway so who takes up the other slots is irrelevant to me. I might decide to use Iggy, Larry or Ludwig for MK8. I've always got Yoshi to go back onto if I don't like them.

Also, the stages are beautiful.

I still have hope for more courses than the usual 32

They revealed the vast majority of the nitro courses already if that's the case. Only 3 aren't revealed yet and they're certain to be Rainbow Road and Bowser's Castle if I'm not mistaken

And I think we will get N64 Rainbow Road as Retro Course.

I'd rather play through N64 rainbow road and enjoy the music and the lit-up character faces then get last place because I took the wrong route in a complicated maze with narrow areas that add to the frustration of the poor handling.

personally i had more fun with yoshi valley considering its kind of a weird take on a racing game to have that kind of gimmick.

n64 rainbow road though is unblievable boring its like they took a mario circuit, made it 100 times bigger, and put it in space.

Although ive played worse tracks in racing games, its just so ungodly dull.

That roster is way too generic. Also I think they will have a HUGE amount of characters if one reveal was for 7 of them.

Here are some items I thought of.

Ice Flower - Functions like Fire Flower, but instead of just spinning out they would freeze like on GCN Sherbet Land. Also could have less shots than Fire Flower.

Boomerang Flower - You could have 5 shots, and when shot at someone would steal their item and spin them out.

Metal Box - Like the star, gives invulnerability to attacks, but unlike the star, it cannot spin people out, and does not increase off-road. Basically downgraded star that racers higher up could use.

Yellow Shell -Basically a green shell, but when it hits someone it explodes.

Double Cherry - Briefly makes 2 of you that race side-by-side. Duplicates items you get and if one falls or gets hit, it disappears.

Like the Black Shell from Mario Kart Arcade GP.

I'd also like to see the pie pan, but I highly doubt it will return. I wish Nintendo took some cues from Mario Kart Arcade GP DX and Mario Party 5 Super Duel Mode when it comes to kart designs. I mean, just look at these flashy ones.

I know, it's a given that some of these are character exclusives, but I mean, "TAKE A CUE", which means they should at least get inspiration from some of these wickedly cool designs (like that Bullet Bill plane, which is so much better than the Bullet Bike and the Soda Jet).
