I have got the update and also the Mercedes-Benz DLC and I'm very happy that I can now see how many coins I have got so far until I have unlocked the Gold Glider and also that Nintendo has finally added a map on the TV screen.

But I am a bit disappointed about the DLC characters as Dry Bowser is the only good choice. I would easily replace the other 5 with Bowser Jr, Diddy Kong, Birdo, King Boo and Funky Kong along with more Mario and Donkey Kong characters.

Also, I rather race on the Animal Crossing, F-Zero and Excitebike tracks without the characters from these franchises. But I am very happy that Wii Wario's Gold Mine will appear as an DLC track.

I haven't pre-ordered both packs yet and I really hope that Mario Kart 8 will hopefully have more updates next month such as, do not race against characters that you haven't been unlocked yet and add in the race timer in Grand Prix, VS Race and Online.

Just dropping by to say that Moonview Highway is amazing and should really be remastered in HD. I wouldn't even really care if it got 3DS Melody Motorway threatment.

So by looking at the cup selection screen with the locked DLC, Egg and "New Leaf" Cup are Nitro, and Triforce and Bell Cup are Retro. Seems weird to me that the Triforce Cup would be retro.

In addition to the tracks and characters, will there be more stamps? eg. Link stamp, etc.

Ok so i used the Mercedes Benz with Baby Luigi

I love it even more than I did before. It's a nice shade of blue and its engine is such a beautiful noise. Easily my new main. Sorry Badwagon

I also love the 300 SL and I actually love the Silver Arrow as well. They're both great, awesome cars and they make a lovely sound when you drive in 'em.

WTF getting to that amount in Mario Kart 7 was a pain in the ass, how did this happen?

The 300 SL is my favorite Mercedes Benz vehicle, but I like the Prancer the most still.

The sound design of all Mercedes vehicles is so great, much better than that grating go-kart crap I have to endure with.

It took us only about 2 months to reach that amount, and I had fun all the way, with no sense of tedium.

While Mario Kart 7 felt like I was dying when I was trying to get 20,000 coins

Proves to you that Mario Kart 8 is a far superior game than Mario Kart 7
