19 new characters Super Smash Bros. Wii U "must" include

It would be amazing if they made the Pokemon Trainer have access to all 649 Pokemon and you could choose three, but it is really unlikely that that will happen.

Meta Knight must not be nerfed. They simply need to make everyone else better.
Yeah, But I kinda didn't like the Pokemon trainer in brawl.

649 Pokemon = 649 different models = 649 different movesets = overkill. I know you said it was preposterous, but that is what is going to happen.

Imagine how Pokedex 3D will turn out if it is expanded to include ALL the 649 Pokemon, instead of only the Unova region Pokemon.

I know it's not going to happen, but it would be awesome.

If Nintendo is smart, they'll charge money for the expanded Pokedex 3D.

But I like that idea, nevertheless. I would like to play as a Torchic or Dialga.

Oh yeah Bowser Jr should be in it too because he is awesome.

You spelled Zoroark correctly. However, I'm not expecting more than 4 Pokemon reps.

They should really put a Hoenn rep before they start thinking about 5th generation

That's a good point. Johto's not really my favorite region anyway. Still, I see a little bit of potential for some of the Hoenn/Generation III Pokemon though.

I suppose I'll post my moveset for Ephraim here, seeing as it might not be allowed in NSM's thread.

Ephraim from Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones (FE8)
Ephraimingame.gif

Summary:

Ephraim is a medium character whose Smash attacks are fairly quick (slightly faster than Marth) and deal a good amount of knockback, but not much damage. Ephraim moves fairly quickly, slightly slower than Marth but much faster than Ike. Ephraim also uses his other A attacks to deal damage with his spear. However, what really sets him apart from Marth are his special attacks, which are almost completely different. He also has slightly more range than Marth because he uses a spear instead of a sword.

Special Attacks:

Neutral B: Javelin Throw - Ephraim throws a javelin in a way similiar to Link and Toon Link's arrows (you hold B to charge it up). The javelin does a medium amount of damage (for a projectile), has medium range (about as much as Fox's laser), and moves about as fast as Toon Link's arrows, but while you are holding B, you can tilt up or down to change the angle of your throw.

Side B: Reginleif - Ephraim stabs to the left or right with his special spear, Reginleif. This attack has a medium range does a medium amount of sideways knockback and damage, but cannot be charged up.

Down B: Counter - Ephraim holds up his spear to block an enemy attack, then swings it at them.

Up B: Lance Leap: Ephraim jumps up and thrusts up with his spear simultaneously. It is similar to Marth's Up B.

Final Smash - Great Lord Ephraim

Ephraim obtains the Sacred Twin spear, Siegmund, and jumps on his horse. In this form he jumps much higher, moves more quickly, and deals more damage. Ephraim takes no knockback while in this form; however, he can still take damage. This Final Smash lasts for a fairly long amount of time. Ephraim's special moves also change during this form.

Great Lord special attacks

Neutral B: Javelin Throw - Ephraim uses the same javelin throw as above; however, it now deals much more damage (no more knockback), he can use it while moving, and he can throw the javelin much further since he is on his horse.

Side B: Charge - Ephraim and his horse lean back like his critical hit (see below) and charge up for a few seconds, then unleash the attack. Ephraim then charges at tremendous speed (slightly faster that Sonic's run) and deals tons of sideways knockback to anyone it hits.

Up B: Ephraim's horse jumps up very high (about as high as Yoshi's second jump) and Ephraim thrusts his spear up during the jump. This attack deals a good amount of upwards knockback.

Down B: Ephraim spins his spear above his head, dealing damage and knockback to enemies on both sides of him.

Ephraim normal ( doing a critical hit):

If I have the time and motivation, I might post all of his normal attacks.

At least Johto got a rep (Pichu). I would like to see Blaziken, or even Grovyle.

Pichu was a Pikachu clone and since it's a pre-evolution to Pikachu, that technically makes it a Gen I Pokemon IMO. I'd love to see Blaziken and Sceptile though.

Why not have one pokemon (or 2 for Kanto) for each region/generation?

From what I recall, no series has had more than 5 reps. The Super Mario series had 5 reps in Melee; The LoZ series has 5 reps in Melee and Brawl if people include Sheik.

Actually, if DK, Diddy, Wario, and Yoshi are counted as Mario reps, then the Mario series has 8 reps considering DK, Wario, and Yoshi started out as Mario characters and Diddy has appeared in a number of Mario spin-offs. Same thing applies to the Pokemon series if the Pokemon Trainer's starters are counted as seperate characters, in which case, there'd be 6 reps.

Fawful should appear.

People even made a logo for him in KittyCorp for hacked Brawl

I would really like to have Fawful in it.

I'd like to see Toad :)toad:)make it into Smash. He is the only playable character from the mainstream Mario games to not be playable in Smash (he's been playable so far in more games than Peach - SMB2, NSMB Wii, and possibly NSMB Mii if it is not a tech demo). He would have a unique moveset in consideration to spore and mushroom based abilities. He would also be unique considering that he would be a speedy, but strong lightweight character.

To all the Mega Man supporters out there, you may very well see him - as well as Ryu, Chris Redfield or any number of Capcom's other star players - in the game. Sakurai is considering getting Capcom involved, and would love to see some of their characters featured.

Of course, they may ignore the blue one yet again in favour of Zero...

I really think it's a do or die situation with Mega Man. I'm not a huge fan of Mega Man. But say Capcom actively gets involved with getting a character in the game. Both Sonic and Snake (Even if Snake was put in as a favor for a Best Friend) are icons in their respective companies. If Mega Man is chosen as that character then there's still hope that Capcom gives a damn about him still. If instead it's Zero (Which would be about as dumb as putting Shadow instead of Sonic in Brawl) or any of the other Capcom franchises. Then all may be lost.
