Mario and Luigi will always be the first.

I don't care, I'm sick of seeing them always playable and announced playable first, not to mention receive sexy game art first

What about Baby Mario and Baby Luigi? They're just baby versions of the Mario Bros. Though both are beyond cool (not to mention, extremely adorable)

No, they're both as likely. And please, refer to Baby Mario and Baby Luigi as Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, not Baby Mario and Luigi, cause that gets confusing sometimes.

Interestingly enough, Wario is also not in the demos. Perhaps he'll come later (or maybe Koopa troopa stole Wario's kart this time)?

Wario's basically a shoe-in. He's going to be playable anyway. I wish I can say that to Baby Mario and Baby Luigi

Here is a brief hands-on impression with MK3DS.

There is one line in it that really caught my eye, though:

there were slots to indicate plenty of unlockables.

I can't wait, and I hope they improve the roster. Put a lot of characters in there, that's what's going to keep people playing, variety.

I'm actually not intrested in Mario Kart anymore (mainly because I have to hold the A button for the whole race and I can never win the 150cc or Mirror Mode Grand Prix). But the gliders, underwater, and customizing your karts is tempting me otherwise.

I love the gliders. It's something entirely new to the Mario Kart series. I love its innovation to the series. Same with racing underwater.
