also when a scene started mostly empty (as with the first, third, and fourth pics), it's really good to populate it with lots of props for composition control

Now, this scene was done completely from scratch. In other words, I started with a completely black map and added every single thing on there. The lights lagged the game pretty bad. Think I used at least 5.

Mario's hands are bigger than normal human hands so maybe that's partially from that?
Yes it has both Japanese and Korean on it :p

It's like the Patsy's Magic Bullet from Worms Armageddon, which is a weapon that has the smartest homing capabilities (it goes around terrain until it reaches its target), except in this case it's Mario's Magic Bullet!

Mini Mario custom by me is now a thing

Yeah, others exist, but I didn't like the Models Resource ones that much and the Nintega Dario one on Sketchfab was too high poly and had poor topology.

That scenery reminds me too much of the Luigi's Nightmare video. Basically it's the part where Luigi faced a malicious Mario in his nightmare.
