  • Despite all the PvZ fanbase saying Pvz Replanted looks awful and is AI upscaled, I don't see anything wrong with it. It's still a good looking game regardless, but I dare not say this elsewhere or I will be torn to shreds for an opposing opinion
(Inspired by Splatoon's Spookyfest happening soon)
Which do you think would be the best friend?
A zombie :drybow:, a skeleton , or a ghost :boo:?
(Sorry, couldn't think of a better zombie emoji)
So uhhh... I kinda forgot. I've been here for two years now (and 2 days). And happy two years since Mario Wonder!
I also got kinda spoiled on Brothership's final boss a bit ago, or at least how it looked, thanks to YT. Although I definitely agree with the video, this guy is the first game villain I've actually thought "dang this guy is really evil" in a while. At least I was close to the point of seeing them for the first time, but novelty stolen again
Spoilers for late-game Mario + Luigi Brothership below

I really do not like the Monster Mania quests, because you just have to get lucky on your strategy or else you'll take a beating.

I had taken a break from Brothership for a while and got back into it with the fight against Glohm Pipegunk, then began working on the quests I had left, which were both the Monster Manias, 4 and 5.

For 4, I tried something, died instantly, then went and farmed Seedle Seeds so I could use the intended method for it, then decimated it and got two Golden Seedles there as well.

For 5, my strat almost worked, just to fail right at the end. I decided to whittle their health down to within 25% (using jumps mainly), which typically took a couple turns due to being Level 42, if I recall correctly. I whittled all the troopers down to that, except for one which I thought might need a tap but left it be. I used Zapperator, and the top one survived by a sliver and the battle effectively restarted. Ugh...

The fourth one has seven Bob-ombs, so if you use the "Protectus" Battle Plug with "Charge Bank", you will tank six of the hits from the Bob-ombs. For the final one, "Notdroppin" will save you. You could also dodge their incredibly fast attacks, but it's very very difficult to do so.

The fifth one can take a very long time if you attempt it when it becomes available. I recommend getting the final two Bros. Attacks first before doing it. Trust me, it'll be so much easier.

These are battles I'm not covering in my Brothership Boss Battle Guide section, so I thought I'd might as well describe them here!

I was thinking about going to get those Bros. Attacks first, half because I knew they existed, but I didn't know where to get them (I presume after this trip to Zokket Fortress).

For 4, I actually had Protectus on in case the "sometimes" didn't work, which it didn't, and I got lucky that only one bomb attacked while the other two wanted to wait two turns first. Too bad they were Seedles by that point.

I think I saw a strategy in which jumping right before getting blown up (the Bob-omb turns yellow) will get you out of any damage, but I wasn't willing to get a game over again.

I'll likely hold off on 5 until I get those final Bros. Attacks, but I might take one more stab it now that I have a strategy for it. It may take ages, and I may get mad, but hopefully it won't be as many ages as the ball challenges. Speaking of, I'm not sure if I did all of them...
Best thing to do when you have nothing to do: Think of a thing that you aren't good at (in my case, drawing (I have a stylus now, so I might get better there) or puzzles (as in the real life 500pc kind, not ingame ones), or speedrunning (I would be 143rd place on Pizza Tower's any% leaderboard if I recorded my PB run)) and do it. Works for me

I've considered speedrunning before but a run of Miitopia would be like 25 hours long and I don't think there's any cool skips.

I have never had a smoother shopping cart experience than at a Publix. No rackety carts there!
Never thought the strategy, "No, after you" would work so well in competitive eSports Splatoon, in Rainmaker of all things

Why did they demote Bank Toad in Galaxy 2 port from holding all your Star Bits to just telling you about amiibo? He is a Bank Toad, not a Salesman Toad

I mean, it takes away the ability to have 9999 Star Bits in every save file... but that makes 100% all the more tedious

I don't think it's that big of a deal if doesn't take away from the fun of the game. It won't stop me from buying the standalone digital version of Super Mario Galaxy 2.

I made my PFP this time, and I changed my mind about my October theme. I was originally gonna shove every message I sent into Google Translate 100 times, but that's a tough bit to commit to. So now it's a hand drawn Shy Guy
Here are some sprites for a game I'm making for a class assignment, where you must "2D print" each sprite you're given with its colors. They were made at low resolution, so that's why they may look a little blurry.

Lvl3Example (The three skeleton types from Crypt of the Necrodancer, each one's colors will be separate to distinguish similar colors, like the darkest green in the yellow skeleton to the eye color of the normal skeleton)

These were all made in the Piskel art engine, the same as the UNO Infinity remake I'm making.
So I have another game idea that might be way easier to make... and I now know what my game engine will be. Only hint I'm giving it right now is that the art style will be similar to the Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and 2 games, and it will hopefully be in a rotatable isometric view like those games.
I... I've done it... I have cleared the Spire of Order with every Pallet... it was so much fun!
I have a gimmick idea for next month, it is so stupid, it's scary. Well, you'll see on the 2nd...

Lol I've listened to that version. It's kind of hilarious. I actually like Juno Song's lyric additions to Mario music. And he has a such great Bowser voice too!

"Our army can't." has to be one of my favorite lines besides "1, 2, LIKE! Now the hole, that's funny!" Thank you, Google Translate, for making such a cover possible. I forgot about "Let's learn to drive" too
