    I mean the sprites look like they belong together. (Which makes sense since most of them are from Superstar Saga.)

    I don't know about the textboxes. I guess bland isn't really the right word. It's just very common. They're fine, I shouldn't have said anything.

    Marioboards needs a Discord server.
    Yes, the wiki has one, and until now MB has been rolled into that, but I feel like an individual server will be much more beneficial to the growth and longevity of the community here.
    But... I am not a veteran of this community, far from it, in fact.
    So I am asking more experienced members here to come and help me build this server as admins and moderators, and decide the best things to put in it.
    Let you know if you are interested in helping out, and I can set up a group PM with you in it, and will share with you the details and link to the server.
    I will announce when the server is open to the public and will put the link to it in my signature at that point.

    I feel like having a channel or entire server about the Mario Boards would be redundant with the Boards itself. If you want to talk on the Boards... may as well just do so on the Boards.

    I've been reading a few older threads and I'm getting the impression that Marioboards was basically dying back in 2017/2018... Is this true to some degree, and is it doing better or worse now compared to then? If it is doing better, what happened to increase popularity again?

    I don't know as I was not on there in 2017-2018, but I think activity has died down a bit.

    I think it's a bit extreme to say the Boards were "dying," in 2017-2018 or at any point, but that's something more than a few folks got caught up in believing.

    One thing, especially in that period, that has changed how people interact with the Boards is the rise of Discord and a movement of a large part of the community to that service. People talk there more often because it's often move convenient. Naturally, activity on the forums decreases when talking happens elsewhere. But it's not really a decline, just a shift.

    And communities like this ebb and flow all the time. There are busier periods and there are quieter periods. That's all it comes down to. That was one of those quieter periods. It's a long-running cycle.
