  • Reminder that Dr. Robotnik got a Puyo Puyo game all to himself.

    Kirby got one too, but the makers of Kirby and Puyo Puyo never acknowledge its existence even though both series love to reference their respective series' past histories.

    Thank you for reading.

    As a native Japanese, I'm going to explain the rest:

    • ARMS Institute's 拳 means "fist", as ARMS is a fighting game that is focused on hand-to-hand combat.
    • Bulbapedia's 玉 means "ball", as in Poké Balls.
    • Dragon Quest Wiki's 勇 means "brave", as the Japanese equivalent to the term "Hero" in the series is "勇者(yūsha)".
    • Fire Emblem Wiki's 刃 means "blade", as in... you know why.
    • F-Zero Wiki's 鷹 means "falcon", as in Captain Falcon.
    • Golden Sun Universe's 金 means "gold", for obvious reasons.
    • Hard Drop Tetris Wiki's 四 means "four", as Tetriminos are made of four blocks.
    • Icaruspedia's 使 usually means "use", but can also mean "servant", which probably refers to the latter in this context, because Japanese word for "angel" is "天使 (tenshi)", meaning "celestial servant".
    • Inkipedia is represented by 鮹, meaning "octopus", for some reason, probably because the word "squid" does not have a decided kanji (in kanji it is written as 烏賊), so they chose 鮹 as the closest substitute (well, Splatoon 2 proved Octolings aren't entirely evil, so...)
    • Lylat Wiki's 狐 means "fox", as in Fox McCloud.
    • Metroid Wiki's 狩 means "hunt", as Samus is a hunter of a sort.
    • NWiki's 家 means "home", but I dunno why they chose it.
    • Nookipedia's 葉 means "leaf", as Animal Crossing's logo features a leaf.
    • Pikipedia and Pikmin Fanon's 花 means "flower", representing the Pikmin's plant-like quality.
    • SmashWiki's 兄 means "brother", as in Super Smash Bros.
    • Starfy Wiki's 海 means "sea", as the Starfy series takes place in the ocean.
    • StrategyWiki's 案 means "plan". Again, I can't think of any reason why they chose it.
    • Wars Wiki's 軍 means "military", for obvious reasons.
    • WikiBound's 地 means "ground", representing EarthBound's earth motif. It also should be noted that the Japanese word for the earth is 地球 (chikyū).
    • WiKirby's 星 means "star", as in the Planet Popstar or Warp Star. It also makes sense as the Kirby series is called 星のカービィ in Japanese, meaning "Kirby of the Stars".
    • Xeno Series Wiki itself is represented by 芯, meaning "core".
    • Xenopedia, the Italian counterpart to the wiki, is represented by 伊. In Japanese, Italy is often represented by that kanji, which is abbreviation of "伊太利".
    • Zelda Wiki's 三 means "three", as in the number of the Triforce's pieces, or its triangular shape.

    What about Mario Wiki?

    NWiki's 家 means "home", but I dunno why they chose it.
    NWiki is located on NIWA's hub site, so you could say it is on the home of NIWA.

    StrategyWiki's 案 means "plan". Again, I can't think of any reason why they chose it.
    This sounds slightly sarcastic but to be on the safe side: strategy and plan have different meanings, but have a lot of overlap as well. When one plans something, they can be setting up a strategy, for instance in strategy games.

    That aside this is a cool overview, thanks for sharing!

    What about Mario Wiki?
    This one was already shared by Pitohui but for posterity, Super Mario Wiki uses 茸, meaning "mushroom".
    Sound effects and voice clips from Mario Golf Toadstool Tour are now on The Sounds Resource, meaning you can now download and enjoy Daisy's full sassiness

    My idea for the expression of Smash weights.

    Based on this list:

    * Charizard/Incineroar and anyone heavier than them: Super-heavyweight
    * Piranha Plant - Snake/R.O.B./Banjo: Heavyweight
    * Link/Yoshi/Falcon/Gunner/Min Min - Hero: Semi-heavyweight
    * Sword/Cloud - Joker: Middleweight
    * ICs/Lucario/Wolf/Villager/Steve/Mythra - Peach/Daisy: Semi-middleweight
    *YL/Greninja/Isabelle - Bayo: Lightweight
    *MK/ZSS and anyone lighter than them: Super-lightweight
    So, about the latest Direct...
    • A new Mario Golf! Well, with Mario Tennis Aces already being released, why would they NOT release Golf too, huh?
    • Splatoon 3?! On Switch?! Wow, I thought that was going to be on the next console, but it's Switch!
    • Skyward Sword HD. Another rumored port became real!
    • No new infos on BotW2 or Metroid Prime 4. It's okay tho

    • This. Well, it wasn't my bet (yet again), but since: 1. they were highly-requested along with Banjo and Steve, 2. we got another case of "Spirits don't deconfirm characters", 3. Sakurai has said a rep from the series was planned to be in the base game (along with Min Min), I'm okay with that.
    A long awaited sequel to everything about the Something About series.

    OK, that was epic.

    And I don't watch Terminal Montage that often.
    Some lore time (I wanted to do it just because the official Puyo Puyo Twitter tweeted about the character below):

    There is a Dark Pit to Ally's Pit (though is much quieter than Dark Pit). Her name is Rafisol, and she insists on usurping everything into herself.

    Fun Fact: She has the same English VA (and almost the same voice impression) as Ashley in WarioWare Gold.

    For those need more context about Ally:

    I know I'm late to the hype train, but Bowser's Fury looks an interesting fusion between Galaxy, 3D World and Odyssey
