Why was I blocked on Marioboards for my old 2010 left 4 dead video where I didn't credit the mod makers featured in the video

Wait.... that was a dream right
One day I hope daylight saving time's death knell will ring

i accidentally endorsed this but i dislike your opinion

permanent spring forward or bust, it gets dark too early in winter (who thought having it get dark earlier in the time of the year when there's already the least amount of sunlight was a good idea??)

either way i hate the time change please make it stop

Permanent spring forward means people up north, closer to the north pole, have to go to school or commute to work when it's pitch black outside during winter months. I had them in mind when I advocated permanent standard time.

It also ruins sleep for overworked service sector people. Eww.
Sleep experts warn that staying sprung forward disrupts our body's internal clock, which prefers to be in sync with standard time as it follows the the sun's position. Early morning light is especially important because it sends a signal to our bodies to stop producing melatonin — the sleep hormone — making us feel awake throughout the day. The hour shift can leave people sleep deprived, and over time, can increase the risk of obesity and even cancer. Meanwhile, losing out on daylight can lead to depression. Where the sunrises are late and days are short, those most affected are people who work long hours and have little control over their work schedules, according to Jay Pea, founder of Save Standard Time. "Permanent daylight saving time is most harmful, generally, to people in the service industry, essential workers, persons of lower income status and even populations of color," he says, adding that some may end up commuting to and from work in the dark. It's also harmful to kids, who already wake up early for school, and who are at a greater risk of getting hit by cars if they have to head out in the dark.

To be fair at least for early school start times those are bad for a number of reasons already so really they just shouldn't be doing that anyway
I hate it when people don't clear out the remaining time when they stop microwaves early.

Or when you're using the microwave at 2 AM in a house with family, you're keeping an extra close eye on the timer so you can stop it early, then it won't beep and wake everyone else up... then you get distracted by a notification on your phone, and the microwave hits 00:00 and it says "NOW ALL OF CHINA KNOWS YOU'RE HERE" and it explodes.

Apparently you are not allowed to like things that teen girls like. You are supposed to ridicule it and tear it to shreds. Otherwise you are Very Shallow and Very Boring, exactly according to relentless harmful media stereotype.

I had this mindset before and now I am aware of it and now I tell people to stop it unless you are also okay on equally tearing apart the crap teen boys like. Then we can move on to tearing apart crap teen enbies like.

Ironically one episode of MLP, Dragon Quest, portrays "you're not like other dragons" as a valid worldview. Though that's one of the worse ones

my take on this: fight and defeat cringe so there is no cringe forever and ever. people should feel no shame for liking media (as long as its not problematic and as long as theyre not harming anyone or being gross about it) no matter how mainstream or how "youll get cooties" it is or whatever

@Dr. R. Bushroot I understand your stance but I'm going to emphasize that there's a dedicated hatedom for Twilight which is disproportionately trashing on Twilight; there's nowhere near the size of hatedom for like Ready Player One and other commercial novels.

The video goes into what I'm trying to say here
There are funny animations in the Sims and I always imagined "What if Mario characters animated that silly way?". I managed to make that a reality in an afternoon yesterday. I'm tired but it was so worth it!

That blue flower creature thing in Smash Bros. needs medical attention. It keeps saying "I've a sore" and "SORE! SORE!".

    Let that sink in.

I don't want to be a "🤓" but the "sore" is "saur" as in Ivysaur.
I've seen some intelligence-related insults online involving "missing chromosones". Don't do this. It's ableist as hell!

on the topic of ableist insults, i've been meaning to bring up something somewhere: if calling someone the r-word in a demeaning fashion is (rightfully) ableist, wouldn't it follow that the phrase "low IQ", provided it's used in the same context, is also ableist? mental retardation is scientifically defined as having below-average intelligence, after all.

unlike say simply calling someone "dumb" or an "idiot", which even intelligent people can be on grounds of poor education or immaturity, "low iq" presumes that one's poor judgement is of a more inherent, squarely physiological nature.

    what do you think?

I was going to follow through also saying that "low iq", "room temperature iq" insults should be also not be used for the same reasons particularly when iq scores, if I recall correctly, was devised to screen out people who needed assistance in education. Assholes who say and do stupid things should not be pathologized and conflated with people who score low on iq tests. I'd rather be with people who have down syndrome than people who are bigots.

Btw I also have a messed up chromosome myself, a reversed chromosome, though it doesn't lend to any observable condition

One thing that really upsets me about racing/driving games is that they almost never provide us minivans to race in. GTA V has like, what, one minivan? Out of a kajillion sports cars? That's immersion-breaking, and I won't stand for it.

Hell I want Hot Wheels to have MORE minivans why don't we have more minivan diecasts (especially the ones with the slide door). I see only that Dodge Caravan which is excellent minivan representation but I want more Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey.
