    2022 is not good.

Only way it can redeem itself is if Russia pulls out of Ukraine, Ukraine, Finland, and Sweden join NATO, and Putin and his oligarchs got stripped of their powers and wealth (all gone towards fixing the damage they did to countless countries, including Russia) and flung off a cliff while the Russian Federation establishes legit democratic elections.

It won't make 2022 amazing by any means but that's the bar I'm setting.

Personal life talking? Nothing too spectacular, I'm still out of a job and need to find one. However I did get to see my sister for my birthday which is literally the best thing that happened this year and nothing can top that unless I see her again later this year.

It's still not going to rank well in my end of the year musing when December rolls around though, despite my personal life, and this is especially how the US midterms go. 2022 can easily be worse than 2021.

I feel you, Ray. As I've said earlier today, 2022 has been a pretty bad year for me so far as well. My grandpa died, my online life is a mess, that war criminal Putin is trying to conquer Ukraine so he can have all of the country's natural resources to himself...This year has been no fun for me so far. I hope that I can start getting my life back on track during this month and then keep my life on track for the rest of the year, because if not, I might go down a dark path I really don't wanna go down.

There's always something bad going on, just as there's always something good. Personally, this year's been pretty good. I've been having fun with my youtube channel.

Not the Wario Car, the Taxis are modeled after 1950's styled cars which do include Cadillac Eldorados, but not all of them fit exactly the mold.
    Ray Trace
    Ray Trace
But yeah, why HASN'T the Wario Car been a selectable car in any Mario Kart past Double Dash? And why hasn't the Wario Bike even returned? They're nice references to Wario Land and WarioWare respectively.

I'm down with being sick from food poisoning, great way to start February.

Also I even lost balance and collapsed on the floor at 6 am trying to get water with my hearing muffled and my awareness being foggy, couldn't even get up and that was honestly a pretty terrifying experience. Water and lying on bed did solve these but yeah I'm feeling weak right now as I type this.

Last night I had a dream where Ray Trace took a picture of Sephiroth using the toilet, intending to spread that image online and I was absolutely howling with laughter in that dream.

Also I was worried to death about Ray Trace's future life prospects for some reason.
I got my COVID booster shot and now I will slowly morph into a Protector like the conspiracy theorists predicted.
I uh, I have a boyfriend now. Officially since Jan 8.

Boyfriend I met was a demiromantic/demisexual, technically on the ace spectrum, so I was extremely lucky he found me attractive (it was because of my job at MicroCenter, and he found practically everything I did attractive likely because he loved my personality). I think I might consider myself a demiromantic too (still an asexual though), so that's why we're very compatible.

I'm not demiromantic even though I thought I used to be its definition, but explaining my sexual orientation can confuse people more than it should, many times when I've explaining "I'm still occasionally attracted to girls, I'm just much, much more attracted to guys" some people have said "so then you're basically gay" and then I have to explain to them "no, that does not fit the definition of gay, I'm still attracted to girls, just very occasionally/once in a blue moon" and then they say "so then you're bi". Though to be fair being right on the line between bisexual and gay can be very confusing for what to select in a sexual orientation poll with only "bisexual" and "gay" being some of the options when I'm right on the line between both sexual orientations

Hey, I saw your post in my thread and as I am also a newbie Ness main, any tips for playing him?
    Ray Trace
    Ray Trace
    Here are the basics:

*Ness's aerials is where he dominates, while his ground-based moves aren't as good. Every single aerial has use, his neutral aerial is one of the best moves he has, alongside forward aerial for pressure. Up and back aerial kills and launches, while down aerial is used to meteor smash and set up combos if you land one on the ground.
*Forward tilt has a surprising amount of knockback and can kill, up tilt comes out quick and can launch, while downtilt can be used to pressure on the ledge and trip people, especially if they are on the ground and you force them to get up to set up for forward smash (this tech is relatively advanced)
*PK Fire is a good move and a newbie biter, but don't be overreliant on it because there's considerable amount of start up and end lag, and you're helpless if it gets shielded or rolled. Using it on the air is much better than grounded ones.
*Back throw is your kill throw yes, but the other throws are good. Down throw starts combos while Forward and Up throw puts opponents into disadvantageous positions and can allow for mix-ups.
*PSI Magnet can trip your opponents up because it comes out fairly quick, plus it slows your descent, which can throw players for a loop.
*PK Thunder can be used for a huge variety of things, whether it's playing mind-games, tricking/comboing into a PKT2, juggling and pressuring people in the air. I use this very often.
*PK Flash I don't use too much but there are situations where you can use it to mix things up.
*Ness's disjointed moves such as his dash attacks and yo-yos can be safe moves to use. The bat is used only for hard punishes and reflecting projectiles, it's otherwise too laggy and slow to see regular use.
*Don't overrely on the yo-yos as edge-guarding tools. They don't catch people if they're too close to the ledge, and it's punished with a ledge attack if they are on the ledge. Use PK Thunder for pressure, potentially aerials depending on the situation, and the tail of PK Thunder can stop aerial momentum and help gimp people. Keep in mind Ness does not like off-stage play due to needing to aim PK Thunder at himself to recover, though you can pull hilarious upsets with PKT2 if people do try to edgeguard you and fail at it.
Now that I'm out of Micro Center, some fun things about it:

*My record of transactions is 216 of them. That's a lot! I usually average around 150, but I am one of the faster workers.
*Longest shift exceeded 12 hours and it was predictably on Black Friday. There wasn't a single day where I didn't work over time in actuality...
*Biggest transaction I made was a $9000+ one. It was a bunch of Apple products.
*Sold 12 service plans at maximum, but that's because one customer bought 8 cameras and wanted service plans on all of them. I'm not good at selling service plans because I tend to be overly blunt in telling the truth.
*Our cash registers use 32 bit operating systems and have a command prompt interface. No really. The Ultimate Computer Store runs on tech infrastructure from like the 90's-2000's. And yes, we had broken registers throughout the entire time there. There was like always at least three registers broken in a single day.
*Point-of-Sale (PoS) is unfortunately named and its abbreviation is subject to being the butt of jokes.
*Lots of people complimented my Baby Luigi necklace, which I wore to work!
*My legs no longer hurt from excessive standing up but I still get uncomfortable from doing it too long.
*My last day ended with me getting a 50 cent coin AND a 2 dollar bill in my till!

    And I still hate dealing with cash!!! >x<;

I've never heard of cashiers being given tips. It's certainly not an expectation, anyway.
    Ray Trace
    Ray Trace
Well, the closest thing we get of tips ARE those service plans. We get sales commission every time we sell one of those.

It IS an excuse for upper management to not pay us more however...team leads literally only get paid a dollar more and people who worked for more than four years never saw a pay raise.

They also make us sell service plans because those things are the primary way Micro Center even gets money. They want us to sell 8 per day when most customers don't buy those and a lot buy smaller crap like small wires or something so I think it's a bit ludicrous to offer on that, not to mention I think they get a bit overpriced for what they are (they cover wear and tear damage and manufacturer defects, pretty much just an extended warranty, there is a separate accidental damage from handling one), I've gotten some people interested in it but as soon as they heard the price, they pass on it. Plus, I strongly think it should be the salesperson's job, not our job, to sell stuff. Our job should be to take money and put it in the till and keep wait times down but no, they only really care about those service plans we sell.
Hello. I'm resigning from my current job at Micro Center so....

Main reason is that the management has grown much much more toxic over time and wants to transform the what was once fun work environment into something much more...how I say it..."customer-oriented" than caring about the well-being of associates. This isn't a decision I made, but a one that various coworkers made, those who spent much more time working here who have noticed the change of work in environment has gotten for the worse. Some of my coworkers, who are known for dealing with issues and being beaten down, finally broke down and started resigning, last Saturday was the final straw for one of my Team Leads, who is otherwise a very sweet and caring associate who ran the place before management starting getting a tighter grip on the place and getting incompetent people to supervise us. A large wave of people are resigning, I've known already two people who have quit from the job, I'm among three who resigned that one day, and I know two more resigned the next. I haven't really been abused myself but the Team Leads were pretty fed up with management laying the blame on them and trying to run the place that they don't have any idea what they're doing, rampant miscommunication, and fixing things that aren't broken.

Plus my boss is temperamental, unprofessional, likes to give us a hard time for mistakes, very incompetent (he fucked up my login so I had to work without a login for at least an extra week) and not a fun guy to work with, and no one likes him. People laughed when he was out because he slipped and got a concussion, that's how unlikable he is. Even the incompetent supervisor doesn't seem to like him.

I discovered, I really love helping customers out, I genuinely love helping them with their purchase and making the transaction as smooth as possible. It brings such joy when they thank you for helping them, even though it really wasn't a serious issue to begin with, I get this warm fuzzy feeling when they tell me, thanks I appreciate it. I love my coworkers a bunch, and they always make staying overtime a joy. My team leads have been amazing, and sadly none of them will stick around much longer anyway.

I also discovered I don't like dealing with large groups of people (I was close to getting panic attacks on weekends where it's at its busiest...though I dealt with Black Friday smoothly because I drank an energy drink that day and I didn't get tired), and I'm not a good salesperson; I'm not good at selling protection plans because I hate lying and I'm socially awkward. The time has also made me realize how much I value my free time and really helped me discover what I'd want to do with my life.

Overall, it's been an excellent learning experience but I felt like I made the right choice to migrate to a better working environment and hopefully, I can get things back into the groove here again.
