If Mario could have a crossover with any series you want..

Mario x Left 4 Dead

One of those Vampire shows that my sister watches
can't wait to see the expression on her face
when that girl turns out to be dating Toadsworth

Mario x Monster Hunter

I'm thinking it'd be very entertaining if Mario landed himself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (as CGI). Being himself and how everyone would interact with him. I could see it happening via Odyssey and Avengers.

My first choice has already been done, Sonic and Mario in the Olympic Games.

Actually I'd love Sonic R (Racing) to have a cross over with Mario Kart. That would increase the driver choices two fold.

Mario X Eto Rangers
The rangers have to go to various novel worlds based on Mario's universe, they have to set things right by the established plots by Jyarei Monsters posing as the characters with Nyanma posing as Mario in the final story, some of the rangers are gamers so they have to stop themselves from doing this

SpongeBob. It would fulfill my childhood.

I came up with fanfic stories when I was younger that crossed over those two. They were pretty cringe, but hey.

The Muppets. Because it was the only thing I could think of right this second.

Dragon Ball Z and Mario crossover. I mean, just look at this Fiery Kamehameha from Mario.

Believe me, you don't. But traces of it are out there on the Internet. I posted a VGBoxart cover for it a couple times. If you're set on knowing, be my guest, but fair warning. It's a four-way crossover and the other participants are even more embarrassing. But I can mention a secondary one that was still terrible but at least kept itself within Mario and SpongeBob. It was called "SpongeBob VS. Fawful" named after a YTPMV i really liked. The plot was that Fawful now ruled an entire planet, for no good reason, and decided to invade Bikini Bottom specifically, for no good reason, and Mario and Luigi showed up there through a pipe and teamed up with the SpongeBob cast to take down him and Plankton. Again, for no good reason.

I used to create fanfiction with some of the Mario characters into Arthur. Yeah, the PBS show. (I call it semi-crossover since I really only self inserted myself and the Mario characters into the episode's plot).

Mario should just crossover with itself so you have clash of familiar Mario characters like Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Dr. Mario, Mario (from the Mario Kart series) and Toad versus the likes of Mario Party hosts, the Piranha Prowler, Mini Mario, Spike the Foreman, Gotchawrench, Stanley, Vic Video, Friendly Floyd, Millenium Star, Dimentio, the Jellyfish sisters, Blue Bowser, Oogtar, Wario's hen, the stork, Smithy's Factory, the Shroobs, Jimmy T., the Fun Friends, the magic typewriter, the pencils from Wendy's Castle, Stanley the Talking Fish, Dr. Snoozemore, Nooz, Greenies, Old MacDonald himself, the floating island in Bob-Omb Battlefield, Snailcorn, Clawdia Koopa, Wario on fire, Pronto, Mikhail Gorbachev, breakdancing Pianta, Psycho Kamek, Britta, Pink Donkey Kong Jr., the Super Scope, Fuzzler, Yoshi's mom, and even Funky Kong and Toadsworth (who is the evil commander), but just to appease the fans, Rusty Copper Luigi, Samus, and Pink Gold Peach will be there as well as Cluckboom. Geno will not be here due to limited resources.

Just food for thought. Let that sink in.

A crossover with Sonic. No. Not another promotion for the Olympics. I mean an actual platforming game with Bowser and Eggman teaming up to stop Mario and Sonic.

The problem I have with the idea of a Mario and Sonic crossover platform game is that the gameplay concepts between the Mario and Sonic games is far too different for me to picture any real way to make the crossover work, regardless of whether or not you have the crossover be a 2D sidescroller or a 3D platformer.

I guess you can have a Mario portion with heavy Sonic theming and a Sonic portion with Mario theming. Like both retrain their gameplay elements for their side of the story but Sonic can plow through Goombas in loops in a grassland while Mario can hit blocks while jumping on badniks.

Let's see, I have a few choices:

Kirby - Could possibly be a seamless crossover gameplay wise, despite Mario and Kirby having different move sets from each other. Plus, they're my top two fictional franchises; it would be amazing to see these two crossover beyond Smash Bros.

Legend of Zelda - There's so many cameos between the two, I would love to see them come full circle with it and crossover two of Miyamoto's greatest masterpieces! That might be a little more difficult since their gameplay genres differ; but Mario's no stranger to tackling multiple genres, so why not?

Sonic - For the same reason as everyone else; nothing wrong with the Olympic Games series, but how is it we got Mario going on an adventure with the freakin' Rabbids [twice] before Sonic?!

Splatoon - Simply because the series has been heavily associated with Mario, at least in the fandom. Would be a neat way to also make "Super Mario Sunshine 2" with this crossover in mind!

Puyo Puyo - If for no other reason than to get some more exposure for that series. It's nice that they're starting to release the games here now, but the more folks we can get on board, the merrier!

A Hat in Time - Partly due to my headcanon of Hat Kid being Mario's daughter in the future; and yes, I am aware that there are others who share that head canon (though my take on it is due to her looking quite a bit like my OC Airashi, who I have as her mother).
