Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

Oh yeah he did need to jump off Mario for that one. But when Sonic does his Up B, a Spring just appears out of nowhere. The same can be done for the High Jump.

P.S. My parents are gone! I GET THE WHOLE HOUSE TO MYSELF FOR THE WHOLE MORNING! GOD IM THE LUCKIEST GUY EVA!

You should replace High Jump with Super Jump from SPM.

Ok. High Jump is now Super Jump. How else can we change Luigi? Ummm... make him slightly faster than Mario but also slightly weaker.

He should probably also have the A moves more varied too, just to better personalize him and stuff. Like what Melee did, but with the ones that didn't change.

His Running A attack should be changed. It's so useless.
Yes, but it makes for funny snapshots.
:D

LOL 500th POST

Let's make a new Luigi moveset!

B: (Thunderhand)- Luigi charges up electricty in his hand, and runs forward with it, similiar to Kakashi Hatake's Chidori from Naruto.

>B: (Green Missile)- May be a copy of Pikachu's Skull Bash, but hey. It makes him stand out from Mario more. The chance of a spontaneous misfire is slightly increased.

^B: (High Jump)- His famous High Jump from Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

vB: (Poltergeist 3000)- Does no damage, but pulls the enemy to Luigi, instead of knocking them back like FLUDD. Allows Luigi to set up combos. Works kind of like Link's Gale Boomerang.

No, I prefer the old SSBM Luigi. Changing Mario is enough.

Mario wasnt changed enough. If they keep Luigi the way he is, he'll still be a clone. All Mario really got was FLUDD, and the Mario Tornado is an aerial attack now. Plus Sakurai said this: "No veteran in the game will be a clone of another." Mario and Luigi are veterans. If Luigi isnt changed he'll still be a clone, which would go against what Sakurai said.

Mario and Luigi were not clones in SSBM.

They were.

Yes they were. A clone that has at least one move that is different from the original's is called a Luigified clone. But they are still clones. Mario was the only character to have 2 clones. Three versions of one character is RIDICULOUS. Luigi should and will get a unique moveset. He can keep the Green Missile. And maybe the Fire Jump Punch. But change his B to Thunderhand, and his Down B to Poltergeist 3000 and we're good.

Wait...

No... veteran will be a clone of another?
:D
SO THERE'S STILL CHANCE FOR NESS?

A lot of his attacks differed from Mario's. And Thunderhand was a one-time thing. List (I might have forgotten some):

Leap attack
B
Smash B
Down B
Up B
Utilt
Dtilt
Fsmash
Fair
Dair

Yep. However its still likely that Ness is gone, since he was supposed to be replaced by Lucas back in Melee. Sakurai still wants to avoid clones altogether however.

Well,
1) Sakurai said that a good six years ago. He could have changed his mind.
and
2) If you think about it, Lucas really isn't a clone. To be a clone, they have to have the same Bs AND Smash Attacks. Ness uses his every day objects, while Lucas... shoots octagons out of his appendages.

If you guys remember correctly, Ganondorf has a better chance than Luigi because of his sword! Plus Ganondorf was a Luigified clone of Captain Falcon
because of his different "A' and smash moves. You'll all see that Ganondorf will make it to Brawl with his sword! Imagine it: Link vs. Ganondorf in a sword fight! Just like in Twilight Princess!

Ganondorf can't exactly be defined as a Luigified clone.

His smash moves are not different.
And his special moves are the same.

That's all clones do, is add effects to the attacks, which is all Ganondorf did. he would have to have a COMPLETELY different attack or two to be Luigified.

Ya srsly. Are you saying that Roy is only a 'Weege clone because his B does damage to himself?

G-Dawg IS a Luigified clone. His Up A (not Smash Up) causes an explosion, which C. Falcon's doesnt, etc.

Although he's the least similar clone, he's still not Luigified.

The explosion doesn't make any big difference.

Umm.. yes it does. If Roy's Flare Blade hits at full power, the explosion is almost guaranteed to KO the opponent no matter what percentage they are at. The self damage is there to compensate for the broken-ness. Roy is indeed a Luigified clone.
