Haven't seen this posted yet, so I will:

A site for the anniversary. There's only a video there, but they say to come back in a few weeks.

COOL MOVIE!
(The games it shows also supports my theory on the numbering of the "SMB" series: 64 = SMB5; Sunshine = SMB6, NSMB = SMB7, Galaxy 1 = SMB8, NSMBW = SMB9, and Galaxy 2 = SMB10!)

Didn't even realize today was the anniversary, and just got finished playing Galaxy 2 for the day.

Also have just gotten around to watch the original cartoon series on DVD. Never saw those, as they aired weekday afternoons when I was at work, and could never catch them afterwards. The SMB3 and World series I did see, but got those on DVD as well.

over 25 years of Mario saving Peach, and Mario and Peach still have no kids

That would end the series.

You're a little late, it's September 14th, and don't forget the fact Mario's from Japan, not USA.

But still, happy birthday, Mario!

You don't necessarily have to be married to celebrate an anniversary. Of course, not all anniversaries are good.

25 Years? Dang...
Everyone who played Mario back then must be feeling old right now. :P

Is Mario the longest-lasting video game franchise BTW?
I guess it must be PacMan.

I'm bumping this thread with Iwata Asks: 25th Anniversary (that's a hard word, lol).

I'll like to propose a toast, to Mario, who made us have great childhoods and to survive through the years as the most iconic character in the world. .....OH YEAH! For also starting... or more like creating the video game industry.
