I love New Super Mario Bros. U. And although that's a controversial say, and it's not even my favorite. I want to try to get New Super Mario Bros. U to be a featured article. The reason why I'm making this thread is because I know I can't do it by myself. So, I want to ask the people of the Super Mario Wiki to help me get it to featured. If you want to help, you can talk to me here, or on my MarioWiki account (The name is also "Paradox"). Thank you!

Try to look at articles likeSuper Mario World and emulate what made them successful featured nominations. It's possible to do this without even owning the game, but it's a lot of work. I unfortunately do not have the same editing drive that I used to these days.

The one on the right is of a better quality. If you want something even higher res, I have an Idea. Don't know if this is something acceptable but I could take the image of the Green Koopa Troopa, and recolor it in my image editing software. I'm not sure if that's something you guys do though. Seems like every image on the wiki is unaltered material from Nintendo.

Okay, which do you guys think looks better, the original or the new one.
New. Old

I don't think that's allowed on the wiki sorry

Okay everyone, Yoshi18 has said that it would be better if we did the New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe article instead of the New Super Mario Bros. U article. His reason was because then we could fit in New Super Luigi U. I think we should do this proposal style. If you don't know the rules of a proposal, click here. (Yoshi18 and me will be able to vote) I'll edit the bellow support or oppose thing. I'll give you guys like 3 or more days if not everyone has voted. Say "yes" if you support, and "no" if you don't.

#1Paradox:Per Proposal. I don't think that the New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has enough information to get featured. And I already did all the red links for the New Super Mario Bros. U article.

I went ahead and did a recolor for Red Paratroopa just in case. Don't use this until we get official approval.

This was my thinking: If the red and green paratroopa share the same in-game model, then all Nintendo's doing is a palette swap on the model's texture. So essentially, doing a palette swap on the green paratroopa image to make a red one would be the same process Nintendo is doing. I'm looking around in the Wiki's help pages to see if there's anything on this topic. So far I can't find anything. The only thing that comes close to wiki users altering/creating existing Nintendo material is when someone renders a ripped character model. I don't know who to talk to on the Wiki end to get an official ruling on this topic.

Edit: Another instance of 2 enemies using the same model and a wiki user using that model to create an image is the image for Big Dry Bones.

I tried taking a screenshot to replace the low quality image, but it was reverted due to it being low quality.

Unfortunately this wouldn't be allowed, official promotional material can't be edited and used on the wiki like this.

I personally wouldn't worry about trying to get a better image for Red Paratroopa, as far as trying to get the NSMBU article featured goes. The difference in quality is hardly noticeable in the enemy table.

Makes sense. Thanks for the confirmation.
