Greetings and salutations! You are cordially invited to join a demonstration of the future at the Gloomy Haunted Old Secret Treacherous Complex! Come see the latest and greatest in GHOST technology, as the mysteries of the paranormal are unveiled before your very eyes! But be wary, for the paranormal is powerful. You may not come out of this the same... If you come out of this at all!

What is this?
Myself and @GBA are holding another KG! Inspired by Danganronpa 2x2, this game is a remix of the original Awards Killing Game 2. Rather than trying to hold five maps in one game, we're doing one map made out of five. A fun romp with 18 people, with a map based on the original five maps. We're looking to do a lighter and simpler game than the first one and its split maps - but that doesn't mean we don't have plenty of fun surprises waiting in store for you to enjoy!

Can I sign up?
Not yet! We wanted to put this on everyone's radar first. We'll be opening signups in a week, at . Join then and have some fun! Our intention is to have the game ready to go in May and June for a couple months of Homicide Activity - we'll provide ironclad dates soon.

What's a Killing Game, anyway?
I'm glad you asked! Pitohui said it very well, so I will steal his words.
The Killing Game is a murder-mystery forum game originally developed by Fun With Despair. The game alternates between night phases, in which players submit a freeform set of actions and attempt to murder another player, and day phases, in which players are given a set amount of time to investigate the murder committed during the night and deduce the culprit. Players are eliminated either by being killed at night, or by being executed by majority vote during the day.

This is a competitive free-for-all game. There are no specific factions or alliances except as rolepowers might dictate, so keep in mind that there is always a risk of elimination and that control over information is a crucial tool. Be wary of your fellow players, as they have every incentive to conceal information or trick you that you do! Emotions tend to run high in KGs as accusations are flung and lies are revealed, and understandably so, but please keep in mind that this is ultimately just a game. It's for fun! The goal is that everyone walks away with good memories, so please try to be courteous even when tensions run high.

Any critical rules?
-Be nice. At the end of the day, it's a game we're playing in good fun. Don't insult, attack, or be disruptive to your fellow community members.
-Don't cheat. This means no quoting your role PM, results or anything the host directly says to you. The mystery is in how much you trust and believe the others!
-Be active. You need to put in basic activity. Submit actions at night and talk during the day, or we may have to replace you.
-Older players only. As goofy and unrealistic as this is, it's still a game about homicide. Please don't join if you're under 15.
-We have a Discord server. If viable, please use it. While it's not mandatory, it's still important. The link will be provided with the signups.

Anything else?
If you have any other questions, post them in the thread and we'll gladly answer them. We hope to provide you with a lot of fun!

On a more serious note, and a question for most players: Will the roles be all-new or remixed from the previous game as well? I don't know if I will use this but also what are the rules on role/role archetype requests?

Roles are brand new, and we will indeed accept archetype requests for consideration. This means you can ask for a rolecard with a certain playstyle, and we'll try to assign you one that matches. There are no guarantees, however.
