What Animal Would You Like To Become A Mario Powerup?

It was sort of a bombshell with the elephant power in Wonder at first when it was announced but in the end, most people loved it! What animal would you want to see Mario and friends transform into next?

I'd say either dog or monkey lol. 🙉🐶
 
A type of bird would be neat. Not sure which though.

If he gets a bird power-up, it shouldn't be a flying one because Mario's flying power-ups tend to actively NOT be based on things that fly (except Bee Mario but that's less of a fly and more of a limited hover)

Technically he already has this with Penguin Mario.

I know that when NSMBWII was in development, a chicken suit was originally planned. I'm not exactly sure which powers would be there with that since chickens don't have that many abilities lol but it would have been funny at least.
If I'd pick a bird, I'd say ostrich because they can run fast and they can dig.

I can't come up with anything, Mario currently has hit most of the classic cartoon animals in one way or another, oh and raccoons, and I personally struggle to come up with a "point" for the remainder. Maybe if I dug into mythological creatures... not right now though, that would require research.

Beetle? I guess I would like beetles. I'm fond of them because of Kirby. Pillbug could be interesting. If I were to go with a bird, maybe hummingbird to stay far away from Eagle Wario. Hummingbird Mario has a nice ring to it.
 
I've wanted an armadillo powerup for ages, as a more controllable take on the Blue Shell from NSMB1. Maybe that would be considered too similar to the Morph Ball, though?

A chameleon powerup would be really cool for more enclosed spaces. Imagine grappling and sticking to walls, while timing turning invisible on command to evade detection and slip through obstacles.

I also think they ought to replace Mini Mario with something more visually interesting like a mouse form.

I'd like to see Bat Mario. Since bats fly though, I wouldn't give it full flight, but rather a glide similar to the Flying Squirrel power-up, but also with the ability to release sound waves that damage/stun enemies. It could also come with a bonus of giving better vision in dark levels when using the sound waves, since that's how bats "see" in real life.
Vampire aesthetics would be tempting, but since Wario already has dibs on that power-up I don't think that needs to be the main focus. Would be neat if Mario's mustache became pointier like a bat's wings when in this form tho. totally didn't think of this idea because of Antasma
