The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (Spring 2026)

Forgot to check when will this movie go off theater worldwide so spoiler tag can be done?

Depends on the cases. If it's a very vital setting that directly refers to a main event or main character introduction, that is way above "easter egg" level and should be properly done. I think it's appliable to the main cast from the main series, or Galaxy characters who're very vital to the story.

Such as, you're not supposed to randomly introduce your father as a guest in your wedding. If you love him, just give him a big speech in the schedule. If you hate him, just don't send an invite at all. He would not fall into mid-tier or easter egg catagory by common sense.

Or could rather say Nintendo is doing a hate/indifference job when they decide to not apply or highlight something, rather than considering everyone an easter egg. Rosalina and BJr are absoultely not done as easter eggs here, we can make it clear.

Her voice actor cost too much to fit in even as a minor cameo, and everyone knows that her voice actor is the only person who can play her right.
 
Would be great but it's no surprise official direct and interview scarcely point out why a specific character does not appear in a game or adaption.

Not sure if promotion for the relaunch of Star Fox series is a thing, if not, likely because Nintendo and Illumination didn't find Lubba interesting enough for the pilot role when it comes to movie promotion, and would rather scout a guest character instead. Altho, even in that case it should had been possible to at least offer Lubba a cameo.
 
I honestly don't like Lubba that much, so I wasn't that sad when she wasn't in the movie. I prefer Fox instead.
