Super Mario Bros. theme now in The Library of Congress.

It's official, Thr Super Mario Bros. theme song has just become the first song to ever get inducted into The Library of Congress national recording registry. It is a highly prestigious registry for songs that have made a cultural impact on the nation's cultural influence. WOW!!! What an honor.

damn the first song to ever be included, incredible

Mario now has to share the list with Sesame Street: All-Time Platinum Favorites, Sounds of the ivory-billed woodpecker, and Description of crash of Hindenburg, amazing.

Does normal copyright law still apply to songs included in the Library of Congress?

Dang it, foiled again

I mean, uh...good, that sounds exactly as I'd expected 😅

Anyways, this is good news. Super Mario is a part of global culture and has been for...what, four decades now? That's about how old I am, and it's the first game I learned to play with my own parents.
