I did the same thing. I was not happy when I learned I needed the Gravity Suit.

Pierre seems like he'll be an extremely useless character once his purpose in the story is over.

Also there are 20 slots for characters in the character select screen, which is extremely many for a squaresoft game (like ff6 only had 14 and that is the most out of any ff game and chrono trigger, the prequel, only had 7 characters).

Well, the level design is getting more abstract. At least it uses the level mechanics in a familiar way that doesn't feel like some hardcore ROM hack. Oh yeah, and I beat the volcano turtle robot operated by a shrimp boss again.
