Luigi's Mansion 3

I'd never walk Cornelia Street again.
I dont like that cover.

Not only is ''generic'' but also the position with Googi and Luigi makes the logo look ''squashed'' since its between them and the letters are not perfectly straight.

It bothers me.

I was hopping they at least showed Mario and Peach too or many more regular Boos.

Mario has never seen the slightest shred of light on a Luigi's Mansion box. Even inside, he is relegated to a dated render from Mario Golf. The Nintendo 64 one.

I like to see Polterpup on there though. Normies love dogs!!!!

I love the cutscenes in this games so much, it conveys so much personality and will likely be the best narrative told with the brothers.

Also I love how they've brought back Mario's love of food here, they've sorta ignored that trait as of late and it gives him much more personality

Of all the major ghosts shown thus far this lady here seems to be getting the most attention via things like the opening cutscene and artwork as the "proprietor" of the Hotel. She seems to be King Boo's right hand lady so you know, thats kinda cool I guess.

inb4 anyone says she's the real villain of the game.

so i went to pax aus today and i actually got to play this! its pretty good
the segment i played involved a little bit of light puzzle solving before having a boss fight against the knight ghost. gameplay wise, its very similar to dark moon with a few extra bells and whistles. i havent played dm in literally years so it took me a bit to get adjusted to everything again, but it did give me hints when i was lost after a little bit of not doing anything. the demo was fairly linear but that might just be because its a demo. gooigi is cool and can be used for some unique puzzle solving, but it feels just a little bit jarring to have to switch between the two of them imo, but im willing to overlook that. all in all, its good fun. if you liked dark moon, you'll probably like this
as a bonus, they also gave me some neat luigi's mansion 3 'photographs', each with illustrations depicting gooigi's creation on one side and little journal entries on the other:

also as a slightly related side-note, i got to 'meet' mario and luigi and take a photo with them (same costumes as they have at other events and in their live action videos). i know its silly as a 21 year old to get excited about meeting some dudes in costumes who cant even talk but gosh darn was i smiling like a little kid when i saw them. for me its like the equivalent of going to disneyland and taking a photo with mickey mouse

King Boo finally found love.
Just too bad he found it AFTER he died.

nothing to be ashamed of! you deserve your moment, which you don't get a lot of in this adult life

disney said that adults are just grown up kids, and you should embrace feeling so giddy to have the pleasure of meeting people dressed as your favorite characters in costumes.

One off most likely.

one-off. the only introduced characters who made it past one game in luigi's mansion series were king boo, polterpup, and e. gadd, king boo being just a king version of an established mario enemy.

I'm going to feel really funny but also sad about this, but the recent performance in that Luigi's Mansion trailer makes me question if Charles Martinet is still able to deliver fitting lines for Mario and Luigi. Mario and Luigi just can't scream and yell as well as they used to. In that latest trailer, Luigi sounds like he's running away from retirement home employees feeding him overcooked scrambled eggs rather than from King Boo. Mario sounds warbly (his "Here I go!" in particular), like he's hitting high notes in weird spots but he still doesn't sound super enthusiastic. They're still good at being nonchalant about things, like entering a retirement home, but when emotion calls for it, it sounds really flat, low-key, raspy. It'll translate to a good radio voice I imagine though, but they can't talk, remember.

But again, Peach's yell sounds like she's dropping contacts rather than distress, so maybe it's just the direction that I don't like.

Still sound more youthful than in the Brawl days though.

I appreciate this.
