To an extent, sure, but if you actually play the games when you have a proper understanding of what makes a story not terrible, most of the characters come across as either morons or jerks. Occasionally, you also get stuff like this:

Huh, never thought I'd meet someone who has also played Mario Party Advance. Out of curiosity, what do you think of the game?

I think it's alright. I liked going around shroom city interacting with all the characters.

 

[Time Turner]

Personally, it's a very functional game. Every character looks the way they should, every game works as intended, every interaction is filled with the necessary amount of dialog, but it never really tries to do much beyond functionality. It might be because I'm constantly thinking about all of the wasted potential here, but it feels uninspired.

On the other hand, it's also gotten me involved in a plethora of articles, discussions, and proposals on the wiki, so it has that going for it.
