So with it being Nintendo's 125th anniversary, IGN has released a list of the top 125 Nintendo games of all time, so I went ahead and wrote them all down to see what you all think. Here is the criteria they gave:

IGN said:
1) Developed by an internal Nintendo studio. The bulk of the games on the list fall into this category.
2) A Nintendo-owned brand, with development handled by a third party, in close cooperation with Nintendo itself. Examples include F-Zero GX, Wonderful 101, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
3) Developed by a second-party developer and released exclusively for Nintendo platforms. Most Rare games fall into this category.

Mother 3 and Wario Land 4 should be higher up, but whatever. At least they are both in the front half of the list.

But wow Super Metroid number 2. I know that game is good, but I didn't think it would be rated that high.

No, I was really surprised it was snubbed, especially considering the original made the list. I'm also really upset Metroid Prime 2: Echoes didnt make the list.

and can anyone explain to me why the fick is super mario galaxy 2 high on that list (#33) and how the --- it beat Majora's Mask, Donkey Kong Country, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door,
 
Kirby Superstar, Kirby Canvas Curse, and Kirby's Adventure are the only Kirby games on the list. Kind of surprising that Kirby Super Star is lower than the other two games while Canvas Curse is the highest Kirby game.
 
i would have preferred it if the original super smash bros. was higher on the list too

Wait, Echoes seriously wasn't on the list? Wow.

Kinda surprised Rekka no Ken and Awakening were the FE they chose. Awakening was absolutely goddamn fantastic, no doubt, but Rekka no Ken...other than being the first international, it didn't have much over any of the other games(barring Shadow Dragon).

Honestly I came in here expecting it to be in first and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't.

That's why I hate lists like these calling out "the best games of all time." because what exactly constitutes as a good, enjoyable game is all up to the individual

Where the fcuk is Super Paper Mario??

Majora's Mask way too low.

Wario Land 3 shouldve been on the list over 2 and before 4 imo.

Where is Conker's Bad Fur Day? (actually this is kinda unsurprising the game doesn't really classify as a Nintendo game lol)

Skyward Sword was probably too low, as was Twilight Princess, it shouldve been at least as high as Alttp (placing that game in the mid 40s), and Twilight princess being slightly higher.

Oot is a bit too high but im fine with that.

If anything deserved that win its Super Metroid over the original SMB honestly (its not my fav overall nintendo game that win still goes to Majoras Mask probably, but in the measurements of this list Super Metroid shouldve clearly won). Also the original Zelda is too high too.

...Yeah I'm actually not saying anything against Wind Waker being in the top 20. I can see that people like it.
I don't understand why but I'm not blind (though i probably would be after a full 40 hour dose of cel-shaded graphics).
