I wish the actual game allowed you to truly play as Luigi in single player. I mean, there's the "Mario and Luigi" mode, but what about a mode for just Luigi? At least Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World gives that (and that is why I only play that version of the game).

Multiplayer exists also you could mod the game. I don't know how that works though
