General Discussion

I noticed that most of the new enemies from Super Mario Bros. Wonder that only had Japanese names now have their English names mentioned on the Wiki. This has probably been the case for quite some time but does anyone know when these were updated?

I consulted a community discussion archive and I believe what happens is the following
  1. Mario Portal's Super Mario Bros. Wonder page is updated to have an enemy listing on January 23rd 2025. Mario Portal is available in Japanese and English, therefore it has an English version of that enemy listing
  2. Editors notice and update the pages of the previously unnamed in English Super Mario Bros. Wonder enemies accordingly.
Checking the revision history of Super Mario Wiki pages on Super Mario Bros. Wonder enemies who had their names changed from Japanese ones to English ones should confirm this. For instance, Dark Nokonoko became Rift Koopa on that very date. (revision history link) You may also want to ask Nintendo101, the user who reported the Mario Portal update and generally keeps an eye on that website.

Thanks that makes a lot of sense.

I'm looking forward to make a proposal that aims to create a {{spoilers}} template. First of all, the list of references in film contains respective sections regarding Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Zombieland: Double Tap whose content may not be suitable for young readers. Second of all, the list of controversies contains content that may not be suitable for young readers. And third of all, according to the page regarding Couic d'or !, clicking on a mouse results in blood appearing. But lucky for me, I created a draft regarding the {{spoilers}} template. You got any evidence for the possibility to make the proposal that aims to create the {{spoilers}} template?

I don't think it's necessary, to be honest. The warning for harsh language reminds me of the whole Bob Hoskins page debate because of a couple of swears in his quote.

Didn't we already go through this before?

None of these are necessary and all of these are sorely on the responsibility of readers. We are not a site for children, and we're an encyclopedia that documents everything Mario, the onus is on you to not click on content that can potentially spoil you. And with the deluge of what is considered a "spoiler" nowadays (ranging from a Nintendo Direct advertisement content being revealed earlier than their preplanned date to how a final boss looks like), I'd rather not go down this rabbithole.
