Overrated Mario Characters

For overrated characters, I'll have to say Fawful, Geno, Koopa, Luigi & Shy Guy (even though I like the latter 2).

Fawful and Geno I never understood the love for them. If anything I found them really annoying, especially Fawful.

Koopa and Shy Guy are rather generic enemies, but I like Shy Guy more for some reason. =P
I was still upset that Toadette was replaced by these guys and Kamek though. -__-

Luigi, I like him as well, and I get that he actually has somewhat of a (goofy) personality compared to Mario, but I do find he gets too much praise.

If you're wondering why I didn't say Yoshi, it's not because I'm a Yoshi fan and being overly defensive of him, but I honestly find that Yoshi gets his fair share of haters and lovers, so I won't necessarily say he's over/underrated.

I can still see why some people think he is overrated and why they do hate the fanbase though.

I don't care if someone doesn't like Yoshi as long as they don't try to force their opinion on others. I can't change their opinion, but they can't change mine either.

1. Everyone loves Toadette and Baby Luigi because they are cute
2. Bowser Jr. gets too much attention and fans just think of him better than Bowser
3. Wario is annoying and looks ugly, but his games are alright
 
DK. Everyone likes to use him in Mario Kart and Mario Party games, but the truth is that he's just an overweight gorilla who has no skills :D

As for Toadette, I wouldn't call her overrated but I don't see why people like her so much; imo she's just an avarage character. I use her in Double Dash though.

I actually do, though he was one of my favorite characters when I was younger Xp
 
Maybe his voice change put you off? That Nagasako guy sure knows how to make an ape sound like he's barfing and coughing at the same time.
