The patches have been very good to Mewtwo. He's far from the joke he was when he first released and is light years ahead of his Melee incarnation which is borderline unusable.

Bowser has done better as well. Maybe not in the top 10, but when you compare Smash 3DS / Wii U Bowser to Melee Bowser and Brawl Bowser, he has definitely seen a good amount of improvements.

DK has also gotten progressively better with each game so far:

SSB64: 9th out of 12
SSBM: 17th out of 26
SSBB: 21st out of 38
SSB4: 28th out of 58

Indeed. I also remember the days of "lol Marth sucks" and Ike was the highest-rated Fire Emblem character. Marth's back on track. Patches have been very nice to him. Although patches tried to buff Kirby if I recall correctly, and Kirby just fell more.

In the meantime, I'm looking for more balance mods that buff characters that actually need them, particularly Dr. Mario and King Dedede because I use them. I'm also hoping Ness won't fall from grace like that because poor kid has lingered at the bottom of tier lists.

Man, I am really craving some new Smash content. It can be a Wii U Deluxe Edition or a brand new game. I just miss Smash pre-release hype and speculation.
