Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Re: Mario Kart 8

Very excited for this. I hope 200 cc will make lightweights and acceleration combos viable.

Re: Mario Kart 8

So everybody is reviewing courses so I'll do the same.

Baby Park: meh, the details are neat, but other than that...
Cheese Land: They like, took a map, wrote the word "cheese" above it and created everything from scratch after that. Fabulous.
Wild Woods: Holy crap this one's neat
Animal Crossing: seasons and music are nice, while not into the series this is a nice course.

Neo Bowser City: they don't appear to have made grand updates to it aside from the graphics.
Ribbon Road: Kung-Fu Lakitu. 'nuff said.
Super Bell Subway: Fits perfectly along Sunshine Airport, pretty one.
Big Blue: Did we really need another F-ZERO course? Also, define "up".

Overall, this pack looks gorgeous and even more work was put into it than in the first one.

Re: Mario Kart 8

After about two weeks, players will drop out MK8... again.

If there's going to be a Pack 3 and Pack 4:
-at least 5 retro courses (2 SNES, 1 GBA, 1 DS, 1 Wii)
-11 nitro courses (4 from various Nintendo franchises, 3 third-party(?), 4 original)
-3 characters each pack (maybe {Dry Bones, Bowser Jr, Birdo}; and 3 third-party(?))
-also "Classic" Battle mode (what every MK veteran wants)
-and at least 8 more amiibo costumes (Pikachu, Bowser Jr, Palutena, Charizard, Zelda, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Little Mac)

Unless 200cc mode manage to fix the awful item distribution and weight classes imbalance.

Re: Mario Kart 8

yeah uh baby park is insane

the music gets faster every lap and on the final lap the track just starts flashing shit all over the place

Re: Mario Kart 8

No wonder it's got 7 laps

Re: Mario Kart 8

Baby Park has a statue of
Baby Pink Gold Peach

I think this one goes without explanation.

Re: Mario Kart 8

I am really loving the music for all the new DLC tracks (even though Neo Bowser City is the same with a sprinkle of some electronic sound)
I'd say my favorite will probably be Super Bell Subway and Big Blue. The rest are amazing such as Cheese Land and Wild Woods.

I really want more DLC Packs, like maybe a Mario Kart Veterans Pack with 6 characters like Diddy, Bowser Jr., Dry Bones, King Boo, Birdo, and Wiggler.

Or an Items update with items from previous Mario Karts and item balancing.
