I assume the Bowser's Castle glitch, where you can possibly fall through the floor when it is moving.

Online mode has some annoying lag effects. Such as when you touch someone with a shell, you see the animation of being touched but the character doesn't lose any speed.

Vertical splitscreen, as opposed to horizontal on Wii, only allows you to see 1/3 of the track. Going around corners is a menace, especially to newer players. Horizontal had its problems too, but they were mainly on uphill sections.
Personally I'd like to have a choice between horizontal and vertical splitscreen.

And also, if one person plays using the GamePad, they should be able to see their race on the pad, while the TV player gets theirs on the TV.
As it is, both screens are still split.

Removing the acceleration tiers would be a huge improvement, as it's just a very stupid system to begin with. Instead, do something more like...

1/6	Lowest acceleration value.
1.25/6	25% faster than 1/6.
1.5/6	50% faster than 1/6.
1.75/6	75% faster than 1/6.
2/6	100% faster than 1/6.
2.25/6	25% faster than 2/6.
2.5/6	50% faster than 2/6.
2.75/6	75% faster than 2/6.
3/6	100% faster than 2/6.
3.25/6	25% faster than 3/6.
3.5/6	50% faster than 3/6.
3.75/6	75% faster than 3/6.
4/6	100% faster than 3/6.

I want to get rid of acceleration tiers too but your proposition is flawed, it makes 5.75 acceleration 2700% faster than 1.
