I do find Yoshi to be likable. The only thing I don't like that much about him is his voice because argh it can be so irritating sometimes. I did like how in SMW and NSMBWii he was so silent.
But that aside, he's just a green dino with orange shoes. So yeah, why the dislike for him? The voice can be annoying but it isn't that horrible

Plus without him, Kamek would never be a main antagonist in any games
! That would be sad because Kamek is one of my favorite Mario bad guys (new thread: is Kamek overrated?).
