Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed

Welp, it took hours of crashing, burning, spinning, swearing, screaming, and contained frustration and hatred, but I FINALLY managed to unlock all the characters in the game!

...Now I have all I need to tackle the entire World Tour!

But given the stakes it took to get here, I want to make this as easy on me (and to that extent, my blood pressure and my poor mother :( ), I'm looking for any possible advise for certain events! For those of you who are experienced with this game, I'd like some specific help, if you wouldn't mind sharing it.

When it comes to battle races, versus, pursuit, and normal races, I THINK I can pretty much just pick one of my best/favorite racers and hope for the best, but everything else... If you wouldn't mind, could any of you give me some recommendations for the following events:

-Tricky Traffic (Shibuya Downtown, Traffic Attack)

-Banana Boost (Temple Trouble, Boost Challenge)

-Ocean Outrun (Ocean View, Traffic Attack)

-Keil's Carnage (Dragon Canyon, Traffic Attack)

-Rogue Rings (Rogue's Landing, Ring Race)

-Curien Curves (Graveyard, Drift Challenge)

-Sunshine Slide (Sunshine Tour, Drift Challenge)

-Carrier Crisis (Carrier Zone, Drift Challenge)

-Shrine Time (Seasonal Shrines, Sprint)

-Jet Set Jaunt (Graffiti City, Boost Challenge)

-Booty Boost (Rogue's Landing, Boost Race)

-Speeding Seasons (Seasonal Shrines, Boost Challenge)

-Ruin Run (Dragon Canyon, Ring Race)

-Golden Gauntlet (Adder's Lair, Boost Challenge)

-Hatcher Hustle (Chilly Castle, Sprint)

-Molten Mayhem (Adder's Lair, Ring Race)

-Billy Backslide (Chilly Castle, Drift Challenge)

-Carrier Charge (Carrier Zone, Ring Race)

-Burning Boost (Burning Depths, Boost Race)

-Volcano Velocity (Adder's Lair, Boost Race)

-Mara-Car Madness (Sunshine Tour, Traffic Attack)

-Nightmare Meander (Dream Valley, Ring Race)

-Rapid Ruins (Sanctuary Falls, Boost Challenge)

-Ranger Rush (Burning Depths, Sprint)

I feel for the Ring Races, I can just use NiGHTS with the Handling Mod and with the Boost Challegenges, I can just use my Mii with the VIP Console Mod, but I'd like to hear any other possible recommendations... I'd look some up myself, but hints and walkthroughs like that I surprisingly hard to find...

I probably can't help you with them, I beat them with perseverance and memorization.

I just used characters I have yet to star, even if their stats are horrible. I used AiAi in the Race before unlocking AGES and AiAi was hard to play as.

Also, I've Starred the whole top row. All I'm doing now is A) Beating Mirror Grand Prixs and B) Replaying every single mission for S Rank.

Casino Park Boost Challenge is going to be tough, since its the last one in the first tour that I need to do.

I actually managed to beat the Casino Park Boost Challenge, S Rank, with Mii using the VIP Console Mod. It was surprisingly easy, though it didn't feel that way while I was doing it.

I feel like the game was hard at first, but I'm thankful of the difficulty because it gave me the practice I needed to get better. Especially the After Burner stage.

I only tried it once before I was tired and decided to give it a break, I probably won't have too much trouble if I try without having played for an hour or so.

Sometimes it feels like the controls won't do what I want them to do, while other times I have no idea what I did wrong and I lose... I distinctly recall flipping TWICE instead of just once like I intended, and ended up failing at a stunt I was trying to pull.

But yeah, it's good to know when to just stop and take a break before coming back to it. Most of the time I just stubbornly stick to something until I beat it, though I'm starting to call it quits more often when I see that I'm not improving at all.

I had the problem with doing accidental double flips, it was because I flicked it too fast, but I figured out that if I do tricks in different directions instead of up only, then I tend to not to an accidental double flip. Actually, I haven't done one since.

The only times I've flipped out is a race that I nearly won but at the last second they passed me.

I actually won a race at the last second doing the exact same thing to my opponent... VERY satisfying when it's you doing it, instead of incredibly frustrating when someone else does it.

I've done it a few times and its good, but it wasn't very satisfying. More so surprise that I won.

I find it kind of weird that the only cup I have yet to S Rank + 1st Place (besides mirrors) is the first one.

Maybe it's just satisfying to me because I've tried a million times to get first and by a stroke of luck, I win. It's better then the BILLIONS of bad strokes of luck I get most of the time in those races.
