I don't think that has anything to do with Feferi - moreover it's just a general term used to define killing (though it has more of a "for the greater good" feel than general killing does).

Um, I have no exact quotes, but...I suppose I should put this in spoilers...

Vriska makes mention of it when referring to Tavros a few times in relation to his handicap.

Additionally I'm pretty sure Karkat says some things about culling and how he would be culled if his blood colour was known.

Finally, the most specific other instance of culling in a form other than Feferi's chumhandle would be in a conversation between John and Karkat(?) where Karkat mentions culling drones (the conversations about troll relationships). He explains that if trolls do not have both a kismesis and a matesprit when the culling drones come around, they will be culled.

So basically that leads me to believe that culling is a term used to represent killing trolls that fall outside the norm (cripples, mutant blood, non-reproductive, etc.)

I think the reason it related to Feferi is that the Condesce may have implemented culling after The Summoner's revolt. Maybe, I'd have to double-check that. But that's the only relation to Feferi I can find.



On a different note (since I'm in a spoiler right now), the hints I was referring to were the rebranding to make a symbol almost identical to the Condesce's ship, the Pisces symbol on Jane's headband and Nannasprite's backstory on Dad's PDA where she declares that the Baroness is not human. The use of the word "cull" implies that there is definitely troll involvement though.

I actually kind of agree with this because of this page. It's troll-like hands, which really makes me think this is true.

They're definitely based off of the trolls, that's the same Daedric Aplphabet that the trolls use.

No.

The trolls are from OUTSIDE the universe. The scratch didn't reset them.

Their universe had its own, separate scratch. Karkat's group of trolls is from the POST SCRATCH version of this universe. In the pre scratch version, they were the ancestors, and the Sufferer et al were the heroes that played Sgrub.
