    "Nobody asks for this" is one of the most ashine complaints, you didn't ask for a Sponge who lives under the water in a pineapple , you didn't ask for a puppet frog with some acccent no one can make out, you didn't ask for a plumber who saves princesses, creativity has to come naturally , of course no asked for it because they didn't know it could exist

    A similar statement that I didn't quite like is that when something offlandish is created, drugs (usually in the form of substance abuse) are assumed to be involved in its creation. Sure, An example would be Mario's creation, where a lot of incongruent elements are melded together but the game held up well despite this: like you have floating blocks, mushrooms that cause Mario to grow bigger and a tortoise dragon as a villain.
