  • Finished World 3 of Kingdom Battle today, I had decided on the final turn before I inevitably had to restart on the boss for a perfect to just screw it, and turn on Hero Sight with Mario and Peach. I had entirely forgotten he could move in the final phase lmao, so it was quite the surprise when he basically ended the battle all on his own by moving before attacking.

But uhh 3-8's main run is the worst, like how are you supposed to perfect that when the Boos just reset you to an awful place every time you use a pipe, the enemies can basically attack you regardless of where you are due to the pipes or their insane shooting range, and I just finished it for real after dying right next to the end twice. Ugh, gonna go back later I guess.
The more I think about it, the Mario + Rabbids games manage to deliver on the Rabbids' eternal chaos far more than I ever realized before.

Take Blizzy and Sandy, for instance. You can plan an entire defense against them, but because of Sandy's burning grenaducks and Blizzy's villain sight, it can all go down the drain in an instant and you can lose Heroes really easily.
Well now there's also the minecraft version that I rebuilt for a tribute, and it's a 1 cell : 3 block ratio here (made easier with the power of a World Editing add on), and I think this version looks better than the one I made a year or two ago

Since apparently I am obsessed with this stage, I am making a small replica of UC1 of some Pixbrix. I've got the bottom segment of it done, but I don't know if I'm going to have enough to finish it, or if the scaled down enemies will even look good lol, but enemies are the last step. My hand is in the picture for size reference

Found out you can commit theft in the weapons shop and skill tree in Mario + Rabbids... thanks speedrun route that I have no idea about the actual routing of

I guess I am now obligated to make a love letter game to the Mario + Rabbids game or rather turn and grid-based RPGs as a whole.

I'm playing through the first game again, hopefully to beat everything this time, and without ever using Extra Health, since I spammed that when I was still getting used to my console.

But I have now realized, I really love the way these games work, and I could make a love letter to them. My current idea is a roguelite, with randomized levels (chosen from a group, not procedurally generated most likely), selectable difficulty, weapons, party members, and more. But of course, I need to develop that idea, in more ways than one.

I have not yet, but I'll definitely look into it!
EDIT: Ah, never mind, found its the HP values for the enemies in the Hard Mode of Buddydome from the bestiary

So uh random question regarding Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, spoilery image ahead

So, what exactly are the italicized numbers? I haven't played the game in a while and was planning on hopping back in for a playthrough without using More Health, but I stumbled across this on the wiki. I'm guessing the italic numbers for the weapons are maximum damage/critical hits, but what is the italic value for HP?
Don't ask why I made this, and if you want to know, spoiler tag lmao

A meme going through a Discord I'm in, someone saying "I'm so swag" after doing Wordle, then getting replied to with an image Michael here being called a narcissist because of the clubhouse. Someone poorly drew that image in Skribbl.io, then I knew I needed to make the worst thing I possibly will ever make in Piskel as a stage 2, with intentional spelling mistakes (ran outta room anyway), an awful sprite, and a long blink animation. what a great bit lmao
Well, I've finally done it. After 39 hours and 11.6 thousand deaths, one golden berry, all the other berries, and everything else, I have 100%'ed all of Celeste! Except the goldens, only taking those on if I feel a bit extra insane. Farewell was a lot of fun, even if it was madly difficult half of the time. Gonna keep trying to best my speedrun PB, but I'm not sure what comes next for me with this game. Whatever it is, or if nothing at all, this game was a blast
If I get "I'm a chuckster!"'ed one more time off the mountain by Hard Mode's King Bob-omb... flames are coming his way, aimed right for his fuse.
I've figured out how to set up Super Mario 64 Co-Op DX, so I now I can do things (or make videos, which I finally started doing by the way) there. Such a neat concept and I've fallen in love with it after a single day.
More updates on life and in general
So out of digital stuff, life's going well. While we lost in the Splatoon Playoffs Round of 32, we have made it to the Round of 16 in Mario Kart. Hoping we can make it all the way, next match is tomorrow!
Celeste progress is still decent, a good chunk into Farewell. Also did speedruns and got a decent 1:30:04ish PB
I also caught up on The Amazing Digital Circus all the way from Episode 1 in one night, so I can't wait for the final episode.
And also, an animation for my game's main collectible: Cards! Basically, in every level (of which there are to be 208 hopefully to perfectly fit four decks), one is hidden, and you just have to take it to the goal to collect it. Likely won't be the only collectible, and it's subject to change.

One of my projects over this spring break is to actually work on my game, which has changed a decent bit in design since I last posted, also taking some new inspirations from other Nintendo games as well. I also decided to base its artstyle on a similar style as Celeste's, as that style has grown on me as of late.

Speaking of Celeste, I have cleared all of the base game berries, all base chapters, and 1B through 7B, which weren't too difficult. I hope to 100% the main game, and maybe go for all the goldens too, but I may be a bit insane to do that, and I'm slightly dreading Farewell. Working on 8B now as well.

One last thing, I aim to be more active soon, and I have also made it to playoffs with two esports teams, so I'll keep updated on that. I've taken a bit of a break recently from the Boards and the Wiki, but I hope to change that in the future weeks.

P.S.: Would it be weird to run your own game's wiki? Hmm. Also I'm learning Godot, LMMS (music engine), and spriting at the same time, can't be something from my hand without having to learn like four new things :D
    I've 100%'ed Galaxy 2 now, yipee

Some Green Stars were meh, the Star Bit grind I loathed never existed (I was there by Green World 6), and my biggest issue with the Perfect Run was Yoshi wanting to eat mines more than the actual objectives in the first section, I breezed through the rest. Only died in all 450 times so :D
Oh I forgot I think I have something to propose that may be trivia in Donkey Kong Bananza

With the Bananza songs off, the Elephant Bananza's background sound effects while inhaling are dynamic to the music I believe. With that video, listen closely, I believe there is a difference there, and the second song has more of a swing rhythm to it then the first. I did testing with this with Emerald Rush 1 and Beaky Thicket.
