We all grow, we all have a chance to become better, that chance is born from something already great about you, don't worry about it too much, discovery takes a long time, I talk from experience

I shouldn't have made that post in the first place, but thanks for the words of encouragement.
I don't know if anyone notices, but I do have the tendency to edit and delete my posts on here a lot. Sometimes I feel I can word things better or add on to a thought without making another post, other times I make a joke and then decide it isn't that funny. Then there are the times I just feel that the post is just taking space without saying much of relevance.

It feels like a little bit of a bad habit though. It's surely not worth it to put too much effort into policing my posts on this tiny corner of the internet, you can't even really do that consistently all the time anyways. In fact I should just read things before more thoroughly and think a bit before hitting the post button so the issue comes up less in the first place, that would be the most sensible thing to do, and if I end up making a few superfluous posts, I should just let them stay unless its something like factual misinformation that would better be corrected than left up.
I for one, like the look of the new Star Fox remake. I think they did a good job at having a more realistic take without getting rid of the appeal of the underlying cartoony idea of the characters.

I live in a place where people wear cowboy hats unironically. Not everybody of course, but it isn't an uncommon sight in parts of town.
Do you think that Punxsutawney Phil is confused about being lifted up in front of a crowd by a man in a top hat every year?
Tomodachi Life LtD looks fun. It is kind of weird that Nintendo made it so that if your Mii dies in the game you die in real life though.

That's not a new feature in Tomodachi Life though. That's always been true when you make a Mii in your likeness. You're not supposed to give them your face because it seals the pact.

As you take your last breaths the light begins to fade, you feel the void approaching, but for a new light to blink open on the edge of oblivion. You drift towards the light into a new existence, a familiar tiled floor appears beneath your feet. Grey icons hand over your head. This is not heaven. This is not hell. This is not purgatory.

I was excited when I found out that my school was offering a course in Mariology, but I'm confused about how all this discussion about the life of Jesus's mother is going to segue into Shigeru Miyamoto creating the playable character for Donkey Kong.
Captain Odyssey will return in Avengers: Doooomsday.

I'm probably not even going to watch the movie unless I hear it's exceptionally good, this was just a dumb joke because I have the word Captain in my main username, and adding more os to the word doom is funny.
I feel like I'd actually enjoy Donkey Kong Bananza a little more if I just ran through the layers and stopped at a few points of interest along the way rather than grinding for every last banana and fossil on a level before continuing. I'm still having fun, but I feel like I'm operating on some kind of FOMO sunk cost fallacy that makes things less enjoyable than a more fast paced and non-completionist playthrough.

Does anyone else feel conflicted about their gameplay habits in this way?

I was like that with gold. Started playing during Christmas and I felt like I had to dig every last bit of gold before the opening cut scene. I've spent a ton of time just digging for gold from then on. And then I learned that gold isn't there waiting for you, it appears randomly when you dig. so I stopped doing that.

I just did the main story (mirroring how I did World Peace in my Mario Odyssey original run), so I just helped the people there, defeated the bosses, and just picked up what I found along the way, so I got a bit from each area but just enough to make revisiting interesting. I'm also using one of the Bananzas to tear the layers apart to farm the gold I need for some post-game unlocks as well as infinite balloons and other pickups, but I see your points. I feel like I speedran a bit too quickly for my own taste (but SMO Speedrunning is the cause of that lol), but I still got to enjoy the full story. This is typically my plan for 100%ing stuff, do the main story and things then go back to the beginning (which will be brand new at that point) and redo them in order, or in the case of Odyssey, use the paintings to get as many Moons built up in my hands as possible

Though I think I spent too much time and too much gold finding all the Getaways I could. 4 gold hearts now that I have paid 1500 dollars so far? Great.

Since I made a politics related profile post recently, I'd like to say this:

I believe that there is a cost to the community by raising issues of politics too often in an online community not designed for mainly political discussions, even though sometimes political conversations can often be constructive and useful, and can't be avoided. That is why I intend to avoid using my profile wall on this website as a frequent political soapbox moving forward.

If anyone ever feels like my posting habits have become unconstructive or bothersome, you can tell me so, I try to be self aware and learn the norms of the community so I don't overstep. Thank you.
I'm not sure if this is appropriate to post here, but as a citizen of the United States, I strongly condemn the recent military action in Venezuela, which did not constitute a threat to the United States or American Citizens abroad, or American allies, and was conducted without the approval of the American People. I encourage anyone who is able to protest against the actions of the American Government.

Also, so I am not misinterpreted, this is not an endorsement of the Maduro government. Forced regime changes of this nature always come with unforseen consequences, and often end up legitimizing the regimes more than letting them run their course.
Every copy of Mario 64 is personalized, but instead of getting the scary and evil personalization algorithm like in those iceberg videos, I got the fun and chill one.

I actually played the DS version of 64 first.

I watched Patmac's video about famous video game hoaxes and one of them was about Waluigi supposedly being unlockable in 64 DS and he's obviously not.

Only a small amount of fan theories actually are about using evidence or even analysis of narrative themes to create plausible interpretations and expansions of the lore, most are simply alternate-universe micro fan-fictions framed as "what if THIS was what was actually happening?"

I think it's perfectly fine if some people find the latter interesting, but it would be nice if there was a better way to distinguish between the two.

And most of the latter also relies on unfalsifiable evidence, which explains why pretty much everything has a "fan theory" that everyone is dead and in purgatory, since you can't prove that's not the case... but such theories don't usually make the story more interesting to think about. A lot of it could come from young people who are beginning to grapple with concepts such as death, so they use such fan theories as a way to relate with the issue through their favorite media. I would be a little sympathetic to it in that case, even if I don't think the theory itself is worthwhile.

I feel this way about some shipping culture. Ultimately shoving characters together is a harmless practice, but I find it more interesting when those ships have some level of textual basis or act as an expansion of what's already established, rather than just being pushed together because someone likes the two characters
