    had a great idea for a new avatar but it was foiled because xenforo apparently doesn't support gif nor apng avatars :sad:

    for some reason my memory was telling me that it only broke if it had to be resized to the 192px dimensions since pngs still stay pngs even though it says jpg. but apparently no it's just a conversion that can't be avoided and destroys any animation no matter what. sadge :(

    ok huh that's odd. there IS a working url for this avatar with the test animation. and it's the exact same dimensions as the one displayed on my profile. but the one on my profile is still considered the "large" version rather than the "original" version and was resized by a value of nothing, thus breaking the animation. (note that this ISN'T what my idea was, this was just a test)

    My mom let me borrow her old laptop that I used before getting my own in 2013, and my account on it is so untouched that this thumbnail greeted me when i tried to open the browser.

    Another "recent tabs" thumbnail was of the official Japanese site for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, which hadn't even released yet the last time i used that laptop.

    testing a rotating avatar. can't use it as a pfp here sadly but i might put it in my sig at some point. should be 3 different rolls here since i used each available extension for the url. also hoping these get sized consistently despite the image pool varying a lot in size.

    IDK it feels weird seeing Princess Mindy next to the show version of King Neptune rather than the movie version.

    Yeah that is odd. Especially since there was anniversary art a while back that included BOTH King Neptunes, implying they're separate characters and not just different designs for the same character. But then again SpongeBob lore isn't exactly consistent.

    Hey Wittgenstein, I really like the "Handsome Squidward" picture on your signature. I always thought that particular depiction of Squidward was funny. Isn't it from a specific Spongebob episode? Can't remember which one though.

    Ok found it its the "Two Faces Of Squidward" episode where Squidward's face looks like that after Spongebob hits him in the face with a door. 🤣

    I actually used Spongebob making Squidward more handsome by hitting him in the face with a door as a joke to roast good looking people who were really big bullies back in the day, LOL.

    Hey Jamey, so I just watched the trailer and it was super interesting, especially seeing the enemies in the classic designs, and having some original enemies and the boss. It's a shame there's no partners that we can see besides the Chain Chomp, and even they're unnamed and look identical to generic chain chomps. Overall, I think this version of the game looks way better than the Sticker Star we got was, but still nowhere near as great as the first three games. The accusation that this was "just a port of TTYD" is outrageous. I'd have loved to see your live reaction to this trailer given how long you've been searching for it, but I guess you've already seen it by now. Maybe you could still do a video commenting on it though.

    I actually did record my reaction to it, but i was in a voice chat with several other people. Reecee was streaming it so my voice should be in his vod i think. I might upload my own recording later.

    Just tried this quiz, and I like a lot. I got 23/30

    I especially like the art used in these questions, and the question about Team Bleck just made me smile to see all of them in that art.

    The Question about cappy was really sneaky
    I did get the question right about how Martinet got the job but only from a guess as I wasn't sure

    Questions I got wrong:
    Mario's voice actor, Bowser's voice actor: I'm really not an expert on voice actors in general

    "final boss in their original appearance": I misunderstood this question. I knew Bleck and Antasma were never final bosses, but Fawful as depicted in the question is the original form of the Dark Star Core / Fawful Bug, who was the final boss of BIS, so I thought that was the correct answer. I believe I misunderstood and the question actually meant to ask which of them were the final boss in the first game they appeared in, in which case I would've known, since I did play Super Mario Land 2.

    Paper Mario enemy designs: Got this one wrong because I haven't played Origami King

    Mario RPG references: I could only think of one for Super Mario RPG (Geno in Superstar Saga), and one for Paper Mario (the coin block in Superstar Saga). I guess I should've thought of Lady Bow appearing in person in TTYD and all partners as catch cards in SPM, which would bring the total up to at least 3.

    Pictured character that did not originate as Mario: I didn't even recognise options B and D, and I only know about King K Rool from the DKC original trilogy, which I count as within the Mario franchise

    Luigi's first appearance as main protagonist: I guess I'm not that much of an expert on really old Mario games like Luigi's hammer toss. I knew it couldn't be Luigi's Mansion or Dream Team for sure. I don't think i'd even heard of Luigi's hammer toss before this quiz.
