  • Would you rather be hypnotized into buying a costly NFT, or not be able to watch any YouTube videos not related to Hotel Mario for 15 years

The latter, since at least I can somewhat tolerate Hotel Mario. I would never buy an NFT.
I finished Season 8 of Friendship is Magic a minute or two ago. Definitely my least favorite season of it so far.

My least favorite is A Matter of Principals, but each of my Top 5 of Season 8 shine in different ways, so I'll probably rewatch all of them to get a definite order. I'm gonna take a decently long break before starting on Season 9 though.

I just finished watching Season 8. The finale was just ok. I never watched Tirac's debut episodes, so I wasn't too familiar with him, but it was shocking to learn that he and Cozy had become pen pals with each-other behind the scenes. I was also happy that Neighsay finally accepted the school into the EEA after learning his lesson from the Young Six. But other than that, this finale and the season overall was quite lackluster for me. There were some good episodes, but only a few that were anything past that score. My least favorite episode is probably Non-Complete Clause, and my favorite is a tie between What Lies Beneath and Sounds of Silence.

What Lies Beneath and Sounds of Silence are two of the episodes in my Top 5 (And I watched both of them during the same day, yay!) but I personally see A Matter of Principals as worse than Non-Compete Clause because episodes with out of character problems tend to really have my dislike for them amplified when it's my favorite character of the show hit with the OOC problems, especially since
that you're supposed to see it as wrong that Starlight is so harsh towards Discord is idiotic because some of Discord's pranks cross the line from just being a normal level troll and hit mortally dangerous levels
But while I wouldn't say I'm massive on Season 8, the good news is that each of the first seven seasons of the show I felt at least some levels of net positivity towards, it's just this one that's really mediocre. Out of the two cartoon seasons I've watched that I didn't like, I'd still say it's better than Book 2 of The Legend of Korra because I at least liked some of its episodes, whereas with Korra Book 2 I disliked every episode except Beginnings.

*Continues looking like wanting what happens when you actually stomp on a Koopa in Mario Bros.*

Mako: My two ex-girlfriends are dating each other.
    Zuko: Good, you were disloyal.
Mako: …I'd rather you just say, "That's rough, buddy," actually

Ironically, The Washouts was the only episode out of the three I liked, though A Rockhoof and a Hard Place wasn't quite as bad as I was worried it could be. It still wasn't good though

@Bubbles I've just seen What Lies Beneath and Sounds of Silence and found them to be just what most of the rest of this season should have been. But what did you think of them?

I really liked what lies beneath, but haven't seen Sounds of Silence yet. I'll probably get back to watching MLP when I'm back from vacation, as I toke a break from the show for a long time.
Not gonna play Farewell, My Turnabout for some time, but I'll tell you what the real best part of it will be: NO BEN
Don't say Friendship University's title in acronym form lmao. And it was still better than the other two episodes I watched today, End in Friend and Yakity-Sax

I watched that first episode as well as Hearth's Warming Club (alongside the other Flim Flam episodes, to get used to the brothers). I hate those two unicorns. They're always scamming people with things that are too good to be true. And they always cheat and lie as well.

Hearth's Warming Club was good. I liked how the Young 6 told each-other about their favorite holiday, and the stories were all very interesting and different. It's also quite sad that Gallus doesn't fit in with the rest of the Griffins. Maybe he's an orphan and that's why he can't celebrate with anyone? Anyways, the episode was very sweet and charming. I liked it a lot!

Friendship University was just ok. Yet another scam by those two brothers, and this time they plagiarized Twilight's lessons and want to expand their resort! Well they did get what they deserved, I expected the episode to have some kind of lesson about how much plagiarism can hurt a teacher. We also got an appearance from Neighsay, the person that got Twilight's school unaccredited, which was also never resolved. So yeah, not a great episode.
Starting very early yesterday I added a few more final rankings to some of my elimination games. I also will keep doing this
I saw General Shy Guy's post about having friends around 11:30 PM but it still said that user (to avoid bad pronouns) was last on the site at 10:43 then

Okay I have started watching MLP Season 8 again. Interestingly I think at this point both my favorite and least favorite episodes of it are both Discord episodes, having just seen A Matter Of Principals falling into the latter

Yes, the Seasons 8 and 9 KO a Character is something I think would be good to be restarted, but I think as the OP you should let other users eliminate the first episode as you did originally back in July, as that was a service I offered in the last two threads for the series, 4/5 and 6/7, so it feels to other users like they have all the options. Plus then I might be able to use it to for possibly the first time ever in a KO a Character get the pick for last place, as especially this thread is very important to me.

Though I can't guarantee I won't just eliminate AMoP first again though because it's my least favorite episode so far of what is my least favorite season so far

(Right now the only other episode I've seen aside from the ones you mentioned was The Hearth's Warming Club to avoid spoilers)

Ok, I'll delete that post I made eliminating Yakity-Sax, and you'll delete your post eliminating Matter of Principals. Sound good to you?

Hey, Shadow Prince. I started watching the FiM episodes I need to see yesterday. I'm glad I got back into the series, and I even watched the episode where the CMC finally got their Cutie Marks before I started season 8.

But… the copy of episode 7 of Season 8 that I saw had no music and basic sound effects. Not to mention it was uploaded to Youtube before Season 8 even premiered. But other than that, things have been going good, and I'm liking the episodes a lot.

So, today I watched episodes 9-12 of Season 8 (plus Keep Calm and Flutter on, Make New Friends But Keep Discord, and Dungeons and Discords, because I thought I should get used to Discord's good side and his character traits before watching The Break-Up Breakdown.)

I agree with your thoughts on Non-Complete Clause. RD and AJ did not get along at all, and there wasn't really a satisfying conclusion towards the end. They were both trying to compete for teacher of the month, and I just thought that their bond development in Fair Weather Friends was completely forgotten about here. I had a tough time watching it, so it'll probably be on my stinker list.

The copies of Molt Down and The Break-Up Breakdown had no music and basic sound effects just like Horse Play did, but they're probably going to be the last ones in the playlist to have this issue (surprisingly, the copy of The Parent Map was also uploaded before Season 8 premiered, (as was the case for Horse Play, Break-Up Breakdown, and Molt Down) but it had the music still intact). I enjoyed them despite the music being absent, and I like that Spike grew wings and Big Mac and his girlfriend reconciled, though I didn't like the CMC's role in the latter episode. It felt confusing, and I wanted them to be the reason why Sugar Belle left Big Mac.

I liked the Discord episodes I watched before Break-Up Breakdown a lot. I think Discord's an alright character, his chaos can be funny at times but also quite useful in certain situations. He's also got a soft side to him to as well, and I can see why he and Fluttershy get along so well. I only viewed him as a bad guy prior to this (even though I never saw the Season 2 premier), but now I understand his appeal a lot more than I used to. I've never played Dungeons and Dragons, but I really liked when Spike and co. played it together, and I also enjoyed seeing Discord at the gala (though I didn't like the Smooze that much).

Marks for Effort was not good, except for one thing. Cozy Glow isn't as bad as I thought she'd be, though she might just be playing her niceness up before she reveals her true intentions. I didn't like how boring it made Cheerilee's School seem for the CMC, and them being made honorary graduates without doing any classes at Twilight's School was disappointing. I thought their attempts at getting into the school were really immature for their age as well, and the episode just felt confusing to me.

Did you see Fake It Till You Make It, Non-Compete Clause, or Marks For Effort as the worst?

You should try to find versions of the episodes with better sound, as audio can still play an effect into the overall quality of the episode.

I haven't seen any episodes past Mean Six yet so as Rarity herself says in The Saddle Row Review, "NO SPOILERS!" Though I plan to start the second half very soon

I'd have to say the middle one. Not only was it tough to get through, but it didn't have a satisfying conclusion and handled both the Friendship Lesson and RD and AJ's bond in the worst way possible. I didn't find one good thing about it to say throughout the course of the entire episode, and it also feels like a huge retcon written by someone who didn't see Fall Weather Friends prior to getting their idea submitted.
I'm getting closer to there not being more than two episodes of Danny Phantom I've seen that I haven't reviewed in my thread for each time I watch two episodes
