My thoughts on episodes 17-18 of FiM (Season 8):

End in Friend: This episode was very tough to get through. RD and Rarity had very little chemistry between each-other, even though they've worked together before and have been friends for quite a while now. Like Non-Complete Clause, I felt like this episode was written by someone who had no knowledge of their earlier appearances prior to submitting their idea. At least the climax was good, though I expected a lot more thought to be put into the episode as a whole.

Yakity-Sax: I had low expectations going into this episode, since it was the first one I eliminated before the thread had to be put on hold. Usually, Pinkie centric episodes tend to make me happy, but this one felt rushed in many ways. The friendship lesson was handled poorly, and although Pinkie was criticized for how bad she was at playing her instrument, she never got better at it as the episode went on. So yeah, not a great episode in my opinion.

I also watched episodes 19-22, but will not reveal my fully detailed thoughts on them until a later date.

Road to Friendship was just ok. I was shocked at how nice Trixie was in this episode because I had only seen her debut appearance prior to getting back into the series. The beginning and ending parts of the episode were done well, but during the middle parts, Starlight and Trixie seemed to be faking getting along with each-other, which wasn't funny in my book.

Washouts felt very rushed to me. The members of the group did not have a lot of personality at all, and I also didn't like how dangerous some of their stunts were. During the ending parts, I really wanted Scootaloo to at least attempt to do the stunt before RD stepped in and saved her. The Wonderbolts seemed to have a minimal role in this episode as well, which was disappointing.

Rockhoof and a Hard Place was also just ok. I liked his stories and how Yona encouraged him to stay at the school and finish his tales. But I felt like Twilight should've thought a little before attempting to turn Rockhoof into stone after finding out he just didn't fit in with modern society. So the episode wasn't bad, but wasn't good either.
