I started watching MLP again after I toke a break from it for 4 days. I'm happy to report that the music and sound effects issue is gone!(for now.) Before I watched the Mean 6, I decided to watch the Season 2 finale so that I could get used to Queen Chrysalis. I still dislike her, but not as much as I did prior to getting back into the series.
The Mean 6 was just okay. Twilight and co's imposters easily got defeated by the tree of harmony, Chrysalis had trouble keeping track of them, and the Mane 6 were getting confused after they ran into their imposters. The ending also felt quite rushed as well, so yeah, definitely one of the weaker episodes in my opinion.
Matter of Principals was just as bad as you said it was. It was very tough to get through and the plot was all over the place! Discord was just being mean and chaotic instead of trying to help Starlight and Spike. He totally turned the school into a deranged mad house, and unlike in previous appearances, he had no remorse for his actions. He didn't understand the consequences of what he was doing, and he also sent Twilight and co. on a "Friendship Quest" that left them all messy and filthy. At least Marks for Effort and Fake It Til You Make It had some redeeming qualities, but this is just as bad as Non-Complete Clause was!
Also, do you mind if we start over the KO a character game from the beginning when we get back to it? I'm pretty sure that once we've seen all these episodes, our opinions will change quite a lot about some of them. Do you agree?
