i saw like. a few seconds a footage of this game from the most recent nitrorad vid (one of the jimmy neutron ones) and yeah i noticed the models here actually looked very good. it seems like those designs really dont translate into 3d most of the time

Will Encyclopedia Spongebobia follow our example and create articles for all the fighters in the game even if they have nothing to do with SpongeBob?

I wonder if this game will include an Adventure Mode. I know it sounds a bit too ambitious for a Nickelodeon crossover project but these days you can't make a fighting game without including a story mode. I'm not expecting Nether Realms quality, but I want to see all these characters interact.

A plot could be Timmy wishing for his favorite heroes to fight because of course he would and instantly regreting it because of course he would, it would explain why Reptar is there despite not actually being real in the Rugrats universe

Basically, Ludosity was approached by Nickelodeon after they noticed Slap City. They first thought it was spam but turned out it was legit, and the game began development in early 2020. Game's going to use rollback netcode which is likely going to perform better than Smash Ultimate's abysmal online (but that's not a high bar to clear).

They also gave Ludosity a huge amount of freedom for the game, so basically all character choices were made by the studio, such as Lucy Loud, Reptar, or Nigel Thronberry playable. The only suggestion that was nixed was a character from a live-action series, Alex Mack.

Early 2020? Usually these types of games start development six months before the official release. I'm guessing they REALLY wanted to make this game.

Despite Alex Mack, I think that implies some live action characters are allowed, I thought they would be outright not allowed due to the actor's likeness
But now is probably not a good time to put in Drake Parker, for well ya know

I kind of wondered if Garfield would be in. After all, he's now under the Nickelodeon umbrella, and the inclusion of Garfield is definitely going to turn heads (more so than Spongebob since he's practically a staple in Nickelodeon crossovers).

Thank you for reading.

He didn't originate as a Nickelodeon character though. Similar to how Smash requires VIDEO GAME characters.

I'm really really excited for this ☺ it looks like about the same cast as Nick Racing 2
😡They better have voice clips this time

Also, Reptars in it, I wonder if the babies are?!

Nickelodeon Party Blast had something sort of like that

Neither did the Ninja Turtles, the ones in the game only appear in crossovers on other turtle shows, otherwise the 80's show never aired on Nick and the Turtles as a whole didn't start as a cartoon

As mentioned, Ninja Turtles didn't originate as Nickelodeon characters, and here we are with a couple of the Ninja Turtles. Plus, it's not their incarnations from the show that was created after the buyout (it's their 80's incarnation). I can't quite think of an example from Nintendo since they don't normally buy studios for their IPs (Monolith Studios' IPs weren't carried over, I don't think), but for SEGA, Puyo Puyo was also not originally a SEGA property, but after they own Puyo Puyo, the series is embraced quite well when it comes to crossovers. Therefore, Garfield should be fair game.

Thank you for reading.

I swear Mr. Turner better be fuckin' in.

Not before Timmy. Same goes for Jimmy and Hugh Neutron. You could argue the case for Nigel that he was primarily behind the show's premise, being a wildlife documenter, but what makes the Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron stand out from other Nicktoons is the protagonists' use of magic and technology respectively. You can't properly rep Fairly Oddparents with an adult who can't use magic, nor can you rep Jimmy Neutron with Hugh who can't exactly use Jimmy's inventions.

No voice acting confirmed, no archival voice clips either.

This is a huge shame, a large part of these characters are owed to their voice actors' talents and I think the game would be pretty lifeless without them. I hope the PC release gets mod support so we can add voices ourselves.

How can you have a fighting game without grunts, screams in pain, or groaning? Let alone a Nickelodeon crossover game with some of the biggest names?! Early Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter titles have that shit!

Gamemill is a cheap company who makes the modern versions of the crappy console licenced games while now you find most of that on mobile, they also made Big Rigs apparently, it's all due to the dev team that this looks good at all, it's one of the reasons where I find unironically calling it a Smash killer utterly ridiculous

Seriously?! I thought Gamemill would be out of business after that trash heap. Now I'm even less excited!
