As far as I’m concerned, Mega Man X5 is ok, and Mega Man X6 through X8 are awful, so it’s good that they split the collection into two games.

Best thing about 6 was sigma's final form's appearance and the music that followed it.

Other than that, bleh.

x6 has a solid soundtrack all around except for maybe ground scaravich, game itself is kinda trash otherwise tho

also x8 is good

The most disappointing issue with the Mega Man and Mega Man X Legacy Collections is the fact that the bundles are essentially separate: you get the cartridge for the first of two parts of the collection, while you need to download the second part. It's a similar issue with Bayonetta 1+2.

Beyond this the collections seems to contain decent games so unless their pricing accounts for this it's essentially asking for more than the sum of its parts.

holy shit

the voice acting is actually good

and the robot masters look cool

and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

That is a quality Dr Wily voice.

It would have been cool if at least one new Robot Master is based on a Battle Network NetNavi, since a great number of NetNavis are based on the Robot Masters, so it would be a cool throwback to have it the other way. As an example, there is currently no Color Man in the original Mega Man, and perhaps Shark Man if you don't count the DOS games. Alas, it didn't seem to be the case... unless one of them is actually called Blast Man.

The colour of the cereal looked unappealing, so even if it were to be available for me, I would wind up skipping this.

Anyway, it's new to me that Funko Pop license their likeness in the IP they borrow, for first we have the Gears of War Funko Pop mobile game, and now we have Mega Man cereal. If you know of any ways Funko Pop spun off, please list more example since I am sure there are others I didn't know about.

i love him already

Given that this version of Blast Man looks nothing like BlastMan.EXE, it's unfortunate that there aren't any Battle Network callbacks in this game. Maybe someday we could have a NetNavi conversion like King Man, Lark Man or Color Man, but not this game...

welp here it is

it's

it's... a thing

I'm sure people know this by now but a demo for MM11 is available on the eShop.

After playing it a few times, I can safely say that any doubt I had about this game is gone. It controls great, the music's good, nothing felt cheap and the double gear system is fun to mess with.

So it's out and I really liked it for the most part. It's a really good way to bring back this series after such a long hiatus.

All the stages were unique and fun to go through. Nothing felt really cheap except for one instance in Impact Man's stage where stuff flies at you while riding a slow moving platform. The environments were all varied and intereseting. I love Blast Man's movie set/amusement park.

I love all the Robot Masters in this, too. They're just so fun and hammy. Blast, Acid, and Tundra are my favorites, though.

Having actual good voice acting does wonders for this series. It's still kinda cheesy but it's not MM8 levels of embarrassing.

Sadly, the music is kinda hit and miss. It's not bad or anything, just not very memorable. I couldn't tell you what any of the songs sound like off the top of my head.

I have two gripes though.
There are really only two Wily stages. Two actual levels, one corridor that leads to the boss rush, and then an elevator ride to Wily himself. That's kinda disappointing.

Proto Man and Bass don't show up. At all. And that's kinda lame.

But yeah, that's what I think. I'm gonna go beat it a third time on superhero difficulty now.

It's not the best but it sure as hell ain't the worst.

It's a nice middle ground.
