The Official Mega Man Thread

Worst Robot Master is Top Man. Or Toad Man. Maybe Clown Man. Possibly Spring Man. Could be Plant Man. ......Junk Man? I mean he's made out of trash.

And I don't care what anyone else says, Sheep Man is all kinds of awesome.

Fun Fact: One of the Robot Masters was originally named Nitro Man before Mega Man 10 was released.

Also, another fan game:

Originally we were hoping to release something in 2010, and after that in 2011. Unfortunately we've experienced quite a few setbacks during the development process. Because of this, our new target is spring 2012.

That fangame looks cool, I'll download it when it gets released. Anyway, I like the franchise, but my opinion of Capcom has gone down ever since they cancelled Mega Man Legends 3.

For those that care, OCRemix's Maverick Rising album was released today. It's an album that focuses on music from the X series and from what I've listened to so far, it's not too shabby. I am pleased to report that both the Overdrive Ostrich and Crystal Snail tracks are great.

I'm about four days late on this one, but Mega Man Unlimited, after five years of development, has finally been completed and released. Even though this game is fanmade, I consider it to be the real 25th anniversary game, since it's a good one that had a lot of time and effort put into it, unlike a certain piece of garbage iPhone game, which (thankfully) won't be making its way overseas.

In other news, the Game Boy versions of Mega Man II- V, along with Mega Man X-Treme 1 and 2 are finally getting Virtual Console re-releases. It's about time. You think they would have done this from the start after adding Dr. Wily's Revenge, but they instead chose to add the NES games, which have been re-released a million times already. Well, all except for Mega Man 6 in Europe, but that's besides the point.

I'm up to the third Wily stage in Mega Man II.

This is actually a very interesting platformer.

Success has been achieved. Really looking forward to replaying IV and V again.

The MM Killers are just all kinds of awesome.

I'm not sure how many people actually like MMX better than the originals for NES, but I do. I suppose more action was involved in MMX and looked more appealing in my eyes. Also for the fact in the latter games you can play as Zero.

Strange thing is... I love MM1-3,7,8 but dislike 4-6(never played 9 and 10 unfortunately)

For the X series...it is quite the opposite with 4-6 being my faves and 1-3 being rather bland... X7 and X8 were alright, I suppose.

I loved the Legend games and was furious after cancellation of MML3. Goddamn Capcom.

As for MMEXE, I've beaten 1-3 but never the last three(i'm seeing a pattern here). Anyway, that's as far as I got with Mega Man. Never played anything once he hit Star Force.

Looks like the Game Boy titles are finally heading our way in May.

All I have to say, is that it's about damn time. Not only has it been nearly a year since the initial announcement about them coming to the 3DS Virtual Console, but Japan already has all seven of them, while up until this bit of news, we had yet to get anything beyond Dr. Wily's Revenge. I swear, Nintendo of America has the worst release schedule ever when it comes to Virtual Console titles.

X-Treme hits the eShop today.

Get your money ready!

I thought for sure it'd be X-Treme 2 or Mega Man V, but this'll do just nicely.

I see they're saving the best two for last.

Launch trailers are up for the next two.

This may sound strange coming from me, of all people, but I honestly don't think Game Boy Mega Man II is even half as bad as so many people say it is.

Is your song just lines of code
or something that you heard?

also gemini noir is the best thing

Apparently Capcom said it was possible to re-release Mega Man Legends off of the PlayStation (Network).
Since I never played it, Mega Man Legends U, please come true

I did buy Mega Man II a few weeks ago, and I had fun with it. Quint > all the Mega Man Killers and Stardroids

I should probably go ahead and buy IV and V.

Mega Man Zero is out on the Wii U eShop and you should all get it, provided you can't find the collection for the DS. In addition, several titles across both platforms are on at a discounted price until December 22nd so if you have some titles you missed, now is a good time to get 'em.

aaaaaaaaaa

the plan is to develop this thing into a multimedia franchise. Video games, toys, random paraphernalia. The show has apparently been in the works for quite some time now, at least two years.

Video games

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
