Post screenshots of your desktop.

Re: Post screenshot's of your desktop.

Speaking about upgrades, my iMac got a very special upgrade: 12 GB of RAM, a second screen, and a backup hard disk.
Second screen was already known, but this time with a way to proof it.

Re: Post screenshot's of your desktop.

Holy crap, that's a lot of RAM
My computer has 4GB of RAM (3.8GB usable, according to Windows)

On-topic, my desktop has a constantly changing background of Mario and Pokemon pics.
Windows 7 FTW
This is where it's at now, click for actual size:

Re: Post screenshot's of your desktop.

Since Windows 7 says only 3,9 GB out of the 4 GB is usable, it means you're using the 32-bit version of Windows 7.
All 32-bit OS's (Windows, BSD, Linux), and all 32-bit Apps (most Apps available) are limited to 4 GB of RAM only, while 64-bit doesn't have limits yet.

Re: Post screenshot's of your desktop.

Then forget what I've said.
It's based on the fact, that most people I know have 4 GB of RAM, but can only use 3,40 GB, because they have a 32-bit Windows.

Hrm

It could have something to do with regoinal differences, but I'm not sure.

Re: Post screenshot's of your desktop.

The funniest part is, it has nothing to do with regions.
Here's something Microsoft wrote:

This is my main desktop. I have four desktops in my MacBook.

Re: Post screenshot's of your desktop.

But you know what's the con about Mac OS X?
You need to hack the OS, if you want to customize it a bit.

That's why I love Linux, you have full freedom to the OS, and so to the interface.
