Through out the portly plumbers many adventures there have been a plentiful amount of foes to block his path however in some cases their maybe a foe that's more rare to encounter than others Whether it be defeating them leads to a mass bounty of riches or that they are far few and between or that they are difficult to locate these foes are the rarest of the rare one way or another so what do you consider to be the rarest mario enemy?

these one of a kind foes can be from any game in the series mainline spinoff dk luigis mansion wario land etc as long as its a mario or mario related game it counts

Snailicorn is a pretty obscure Mario enemy, does that count as rare?

Basically any enemy that only appeared in one game, and in one stage. The more years it's been since the game released, the better!

The Dark Dayzee comes to mind

Half the enemies in super mario land 2. Many of them only appeared in one level due to how short it's worlds are.

Judging from the NSO icon change and other artwork changes, at this rate, I'm also going to nominate pre 2025 Donkey Kong as one of the Rarest Mario enemies

I'm sorry but I don't think this counts since Dk Is not only a recurring character but also he has multiple Boss fights In his class form throughout the series plus in this new game he's gonna be a playable character not a boss interesting proposal though.

Sure! Here's the section just about Goombo:

---

Goombo – Super Mario Land

Thr Goombo variant of the classic Goomba, appearing exclusively in Super Mario Land for the Game Boy. They're smaller than typical Goombas but behave similarly. They were only named once it got released for the Virtual Console in 2011, which makes them a one-of-a-kind oddity in the franchise.
