*SMB3-esque mid-boss battle ship levels
*Outdoor Japanese levels (I.E. Sakura village from Newer Super Mario Bros Wii).
*Trash/dump levels (Not necessarily bad levels, but rather ones actually centered around trash and/or take place in a dump)
*Art/painting levels
*Music levels
*Fog levels
*Moon levels
*City levels

And before you say that I might have missed the water castle theme, I didn’t include it because I thought the Deepwater Dungeon level was good enough to count as a water castle level in my eyes.

Why 3D World? Does it feature the most diversity of level themes? Why not, say, New Super Mario Bros. Games?

Sure, but I chose 3D World because just because it probably has the biggest theme diversity out of any Mario game, that doesn’t mean I didn’t notice that it was missing some noticeable game themes.
