They really should develop the Horse racing concept rather than stick it to a mediocre forgettable sports compilation on the 3DS, but I don't have high hopes either way for this Nintendo Direct.

The days of a dozen Mario sports games are over. Game development costs are way too expensive for that now.

New baseball would be nice tho.
 
I'm kidding, haha. No way is the owner for two of the largest media franchises in the world is gonna be so strapped for cash they're unable to make video games.
 
To be fair, Nintendo's behemoth status didn't prevent AlphaDream from going belly-up. I hope the other studios usually responsible for sports games are fine. Squenix seems okay? Camelot, dunno but seems moderately successful. Bandai-Namco? Seems fine.
