Do you think Mario's parents were cool?

Mario's parents don't get brought up a lot we haven't seen their faces and we only known their names (Mis and Pia) from Mr. Martinet, so, do you think the bros had a good impression of their parents?
Mario's mother seemed to leave a mark of him, since he screams her name when shocked, don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Perhaps they don't bring them up much because the frist parent figure they had were the Yoshis and they tend to look back on them instead of their actual parents

Mario's dad (pictured in the corner) seems like he was a cool guy, but I think it's safe to assume he's dead now.
 
I think they're pretty damn irresponsible personally
 
It's a little hard to say given that they've never had any real presence or screen time in the series aside from their hands very briefly appearing in Yoshi's New Island, kinda makes me wonder where they were during the events of the Shroob invasion.

More like saved him from all sorts of danger. Papa Mario and Mama Mario could have gone on a trip to look for Baby Mario and Baby Luigi but it was the Yoshi's that saved them.

Mario was already exposed to all sorts of danger. Yoshi was the only one who could have defended him.
 
Yoshi could have easily left Mario in a bunch safer spot than taking him to an active volcano.

Also, if he hid Mario, he doesn't have to worry about Kamek's Toadies finding him. The entire fucking game would have been a cakewalk had Yoshi actually hid Mario somewhere safe.
