Am I the only one who is genuinely excited about the game? It's the opportunity to take a stale franchise and revive it with something out-of-the-box.

This. Y'all are acting like Mario is some sacred franchise that can't be touched. At least they're doing something new for once.

I'm far more excited for this game than Super Mario Odyssey.

It looks like a game that will do some things oh so right and some things hilariously wrong.

Consider me interested.

How can you have a twisted sense of humour in the Mario universe without Daisy and the Wario Bros?

I would have been extremely hyped for this game, but Ubisoft decided to go conservative with the most important part of the game, the roster...

Because when I think twisted humour and the Mario franchise, I immediately think of Daisy....

- making fun of the "The princess is another castle" quote
- the "Go karting with Bowser" trope
- the "Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing"
- the "Death Stare"

That's what I can think of.
